and amy about ur other post the inktrails.com question im going to talk to jj and make sure but i wanna try and mention inktrails and all that in the book but i want to put a not on the first page that the book is in no way shaoe or form affiliated with the owner and mods here at inktrails just a book composed of art from the forum members here so im gunna get in contact with him if possible JD can u tell him i need to speak with him i never can get ahold of him ...

if not we can always photoshop if needed ... so all entrys valid

As far as the voting, I think this contest, at least since I've been on here, has the best turn out of quality entries yet. I tip my hat to you guys. Excellent, excellent stuff. I've learned quite a bit, and have been inspired from a bunch of stuff here, and there's no way I can decide on my pick today. I have to think long and hard.

wow this is hard, all great entries, was gonna go with amy as hers looks unreal, the only thing iom not sure about is the space underneath trails between the hands maybe could have been filled with a couple of old school roses or the hands brought in a bit.

And then moon goes and submits a piece that would again be eye catching as a book cover so im gonna have to think a bit on this one (or flip a coin )

(btw the gap you mentioned is to allow for any text The Nerd may decide to print on the front e.g. "Art of Ink-Trails" or whatever, after discussions)

ive seen better work on here than i have browsing on 99% of the so called profesional sites this comp tops the lot though

thanks man!

I really like barnstormer's. looks very vintage and unique. a nice worn out texture overlaid on it would look killer on it. like an old 1800's book!
I respect the handmade aspects of the contests, but I think maybe (im talking about my own design) could use some digital help.

I'd like to offer myself for any digital reworking ( layouts, color adjustments, ect.) if needed in the book (p.s. i do some freelance graphic design on the side of tattooing)

^ def could use the help i used to do web design .. gfx and other stuff but really i have stopped being that i am now tattooing but i can still do it just no customers really ...

its really hard because thier are aspects to each of them that are real;ly amazing. if we could pick three and combine them would be ideal for me. i have to say i love moons over all and barns trad euro look and i think gomegaxs art is on point, so for me ive narrowed it down to those three. i cant vote at this point though give me a day or two.

Alright guys ...

Myself and the builder decided together to each vote for the opposing person that way the forum decision would decide so

On a side note thiers a few things i want to say reguarding this

Joe - fuckin amazing work as always my man love it
Amy - fuckin amazing attention to detail and my wife said if she had a vote it woulda gone to you she loves the hands aswell as do i ... i also love the small detail in the ingredients it makes a big deal ....
Aaronrawk - deserved way more votes that shit was fuckin rawkin man ...
Barn - u got the back cover my friend ...

everyone else great entries .. i am going to attempt to insertall of these into the book if possible ...

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys...
Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking..blah..blah..blah..
I used to enter the weekly flash comps, back in the day, but
they unraveled when Ferret stopped running them. I saw this
& thought long & hard about it & I'm glad I entered. Not just
because I won, because it has been one of the best run comps
on the Trails & the standard of work entered has been fantastic.
Thanks to The Nerd & "The Mystery Builder" & thanks to all of
the artists who entered. It's a shame that we don't get more
entries but I'm sure that ,if the quality of the competitions
matches this one, we soon will.
