Folks, over the last few weeks/months the tone on the site seems to be more hostile than ever. Whether critiquing, discussing, or debating, please be respectful. We can call people out on misinformation, bad work and attitude issues without being mean. Remember, throwing attitude and insults doesn't teach people anything. Let's all try to foster a more cordial tone to our exchanges for the sake of the community.

Agreed. This should go for everyone, newbs, pros, & mods. I've seen things let go because of who said them and their status. Am I wrong or are mods here to help people threw the conflict or start and contribute to it.

If you feel any mod in particular has broken forum rules, or been blatantly disrespectful, my recomendation would be to just talk to them personally like an adult. PM them. Email them. Whatever. Be part of a solition, rather than an anti-mod revolution. And, also make no mistake that NOTHING here is "let go". Mods are called out just like anyone else....if not more so. Its an eggshell walk, but we also have come to realize thats just part of the package. To get back on topic - I agree 110% Jason. Lets spread some sweet lovin in this place!

In my post I said "Let's all try to foster a more cordial tone to our exchanges for the sake of the community." That includes mods too.
We're not here to police the tone in every post, so I am just posting this as a reminder of what makes this site different (or at least used to). Your input is appreciated and rest assured that I am not singling out anyone or exempting anyone. Just thought I should mention something. -------------------- Stay humble.

Toph, man I wasn't refering to you, or anyone for that matter, I was just a general comment. Hell I've PMed you a couple times for personal favors and you have always helped me out. Don't take it the wrong way bro. These hugs, are they for someone elses beifit or yours? You tryin to make others feel good, or are you searching for some one to hug you back? Again no hostility, you guys try to do a good job, if anything there isn't enough of you. This site is blowin up, Maybe JJ should add a few.

This site is blowin up, Maybe JJ should add a few. maybe we could have an oz mod, not just for the sake of having someone over here, but with the time difference- problems can arise that mods in other countries who are sleeping/working cant put a stop to it before its out of hand,(although it seems someone somewhere is always awake on the trails) just makes sense to be able to end these things quickly and if we have mods all over the world we might have a chance of doing this i cant really put my hand up as i dont get much of a chance to post up on here anyway with my two littlies hanging off me all the time- i wouldnt be much help (although in the future i would gladly help), but im sure there would have to be an aussie interested somewhere..... |
