Hi there,
I have just registered on this site and was wondering if i would be welcome here as i am not a profesional apprentice as such but have had a lot of help and advice from a friend who has his own studio. After learning all i can from him i am now learning from home on friends and family in a hygenic room kept just for this purpose, i am very concious of doing it properly.....hygene etc, i have my own ultrasonic and autoclave(with tape to make sure its working) i will only use disposable needles and i ensure that the room and all my equiptment is clean and sterile.........i dont think i am a tattooist, far from it but it is something i have wanted to do since i left school 9 years ago and found really hard to be able to get into and i am hoping that with a little more experience that one day i will be able to become a profesional apprentice or maybe even in years to come have my own studio but this is the only method i have found for me to make a start. I have looked on other tattoo forums and it seems that this method is frowned upon by many tattooists and therefore i have not felt welcome to join them, i would love to be able to come on and chat to profesionals and begginers alike so that i can learn more or even pass on any information that i could to others that may be in my position. Could you please let me know if i am welcome here or not, many thanks from the inkpixie..........also i am not great with computers or spelling so please have patience...lol! cheers :) |

Everyone of all skill levels are welcome here. So welcome aboard. There is a lot of good information to be found just by surfing through the message thread. I would suggest reading them all when you get a chance.

Welcome to the forum..
And that is one of the best parts about this message board.. everyone is welcome.. Sounds like you have a pretty good start and knowledge of what you are undertaking as far as tattooing goes. From your post I take it you have done some work already? Im sure I'm not alone in saying We would love to see some of it. (can post it in the "show and tell" section of the forums)... I am with you in that I hae been on MANY tattoo message boards.. I actually am a member of a good # of them and from time to time still hang out on them and read the info.. However, this is honestly the only board that I feel comfortable asking newbie questions and stuff like that because for the most part eveyone on this website is awsome.. I have not ran into anyone on here that is not willing to offer advice in a positive way without bashing you because your a at home learner.. Im sure you are going to love this place, as I know I have.. -------------------- No forgiveness for my sins, I preffer punishment

hi and welcome inkpixie ... glad to have you on board! on this forum you are considered 'lucky' to have landed a pro aprenticeship (a rare opportunity in most parts) and those that are lucky enough are also nice enough to share what they learn as they go (or will when they finally start)! so for the most part we are all practicing from home, all in the same boat ... guiding each other and sharing our work! Wickedrage is right ... we would love to see your works so far!

No chance, go away & give up tattooing for ever...............can I buy your autoclave?!?!?! I'll give you a quid.....no a tenner!
Only mucking about, you seen probably much more qualified than a lot of us here if you got an autoclave!! This is a great forum for us "newbs" so don't for one second feel embarrassed about asking your questions, but do yourself a favour & before you post check out the some of the previous threads & FAQ cos you'll probably find someone else has asked the same thing you want to know! Again welcome.....oh just so we're clear, that first bit was a joke (dont want another blondebitch situation here!!!) -------------------- "In this truck is a man whose latent genius, if unleashed, would rock the nation, whose dynamic energy would overpower those around him. You will find all the info you need on here, if not just ask the question, you will get a reply very soon from one of the many experianced tattooists, who i would like to point out are more than helpfull.
