I just used elementtattoosupply.com got a kit for $180 free shipping. Two machines with sailor jerry pinups.

digital power supply just throw the inks unless your using them on pigskin etc....

I was actually surprised on the quality, used machine today on a client and is now my favorite machine since my first one which was a superior wasp.

runs like butter.... i was also surprised to see the size of the machines were actually quite compact, which is very comfortable.

definitely worth what I paid.

As for disposables, needles etc... I use wwta2.com (worldwide tattoo supply)

cheapest I found so far after the $10 membership.

Great thread guys.

I just got my first order from http://www.painfulpleasures.com/.

Good range of products, particularly Inks. got my "ONE" and some MOM'S. Great prices, friendly service and super fast shipping. Ordered on Tuesday, Delivered to my door in Australia the following Monday. I will happily deal with them again.

Have been using http://internationaltattoosupply.com for a while now and always get a good deal and fairly quick delivery. Love their machines, great value for money and not just for beginners. Know a few pros using them and they are very happy with them. Stay away from their Inks. Got my "rr" Kurro Summi from them and other inks have been suspect. They also have a good range of needles at reasonable prices.

Have used Huck Spaulding and they're OK. Delivery is slow and I'm sure I was overcharged for postage on my last order. Don't think I'll use them again.

Of the Ebay suppliers I have had good dealings with are:

http://stores.ebay.com.au/Precision-Ink-Tattoo-Supply

http://stores.ebay.com.au/WorldWide-Tattoo-Supply-USA

http://stores.ebay.com.au/Tattoo-guy-Supplies

http://stores.ebay.com.au/tattoo-wholesale Reliable Chinese Needle Supplier

In OZ, all good, friendly quick service but a bit overpriced, mainly on Inks, OK on some other stuff.

http://stores.ebay.com.au/AAA-Tattoos-Quality-Tattoo-Supply

http://stores.ebay.com.au/tatt2guru

http://stores.ebay.com.au/TATTOO-AUSTRALIA

I've checked out some other suppliers both Worldwide and Local but not had any direct dealings with them.

Anyhow, just a few of my experiences, hope they help.

Tried Kingpin........they sucked. Wouldn't sell to me because they investigated me and found out that I wasn't a real shop yet so they refused to sell to me.

We recently ordered some piercing supplies from a company called Ace Body Art Supply... we like to try new companies for the general stuff to see which companies have the best quality, selection, etc... After 2 weeks I was frustrated because our shipment still had not been received I contacted the company about my frustration to which he responded with a link to their website where it talks about shipping taking a decent more time than necessary... so still frustrated i felt a little dumb cause i didn't see it but oh well... chalk it up to lesson learned... well yesterday when the mail came i received a card stating that they would be having a package to deliver to me but that there was postage due on it... so now i am expected to pay an additional fee to get the piercing stuff i have already paid shipping and handling for. I was PISSED... so i went to the website to find out how to contact them... it was then that i noticed there is no place on the website that you can access that talks about the shipping and when you would receive it... so basically he created the link and everything it said when he sent it to me... he also told me i had unrealistic expectations in when i would receive my order... I would say my unrealistic expectations were in expecting the same kind of service and quality from this company in comparison to others... so as a note if you chose to use them that's your decision... but you have been forewarned!!!

Not sure how many of you also do piercing... but was recently recommended a company called Metal Mafia... they have some really cool jewelry, AND they have GREAT prices... I'm not sure if you have to be referred to them or how it goes... when i told them I was referred they asked for all the other people's info too... so if anyone decides to use them tell them you were referred by Double-0 Ink at 731 Hwy 211, Suite A, Winder, Ga 30680... we requested a catalog and they sent it very quickly along with some samples of their Jewelry for quality purposes... Highly reccomend!! <_<

Inkcraft makes a mighty fine machine, they only sell j frames now, but they were selling what looked to be chinese ones. needles and tubes are very sturdy. This is another place, though fifty dollar minimum order. Their Vivid inks are surprisingly good too.

My experience with superior was ok, I felt like they just sell it because people will buy it, kinda just in it for a buck. (MY opinion.. i know others will dissagree)

Element is the bees knees though, they ship lighting fast and some quality stuff.

Needlejig.com is also very good. You will get answers to all of your questions straight from the owner.

Hey! Whats the deal with micky sharpz Australia. I tried to navigate my way to the Australian supplier, but the site does not exist!? Anybody know who sells mickeys in AUS?

I´m looking for a shop here in AUSTRALIA that would be able to put together a kit that have good quality machines and starbright/intenz/moms inks. Ordering from usa would have around 300AUS postage (so I´ll prefer ordering inside AUS).

http://www.tattink.com.au/ only sells to pro´s (other than that the shop has all what I would need)

http://www.bstattoo.com.au does not seem to have power supplies (mailed them about that thou)

Some shops have random info about machines (don't look too good) and they don't sell well known inks... I really don´t want to buy anything that comes in a random bottle.

Even thou it´s going to be tattooing fruits for few months and building up a portfolio to apply for a apprenticeship, listening all the pro´s about getting the kit good from the beginning, I decided to invest a fairly good amount of money to that. I´ve build up a guide ok flash portfolio, now I just need to prove i have steady hands.

I would really appreciate help in finding a shop. All links are wellcome!

Thanks!

-Sara

Micky sharpz Aus used to have a website but it shutdown about 9 months or more ago but the distributor for Micky Sharps is right there in your state in QLD.The shop that is the sole distributor for sharpz will not sell to you unless you are a pro and can prove it.

The best supplies are not going to be the cheapist supplies you can find. If you are looking for cheap supplies then you're looking to produce cheap looking tattoos. A great supplier for machines and needles is atimemachine.... Those big curved mags are the shit and very high quality and danny fowler machines are great! Alot of other places do sell good stuff but I'll stick with a place I can always depend on to deliver me top quality tattoo supplies...

If you're in Canada, Studio one is pretty good.

They don't have everything, but they still have plenty of supplies.

Fast shipping, good comms....

http://www.studioonetattoosupplies.com/index.html

May look expensive, but you save in the end... Duty/Customs fees and other provincial taxes...

If you ask, they will also send you a free catalog.

I have found Spaulding & Rogers machines to be nice, well constructed, and both 8 & 10 wrap do a nice job.

Barber DTS. I have purchased loths of things from these guys, well priced and good quality. (Cheap Needles)

iMax International Well priced and as a member of the EU does not incur any Import Tax to the UK. (Good Dissposable Tubes)

These are the 3 that I deal with and have had good experiances with, hope they can help you also!

I have been looking that Imax international websites long time and just thinking how quality of their tattoo machines are? If i choose buy imax machines what i get to my hands? piece of crap or something what will work? If there are something wrong about their machines witch is it? weak coils or something else forexamble?

Their websites said:

4. CUSTOMER IN THE EU (European Union)

If you are a registered company supply your commercial VAT (Value Added Tax) identification number when placing your order so you will not pay 20% VAT, otherwise you have to pay the Italian rate of tax 20% VAT. Anyway when you get the parcel in your country you will not pay any tax or duty.

I live in eu and i don't have any registered company so they ad 20% VAT to their prices? How that work when i buy a stuff from there? Are they automatically add that 20% VAT to the final amount or do i have to count myself that 20% increase?

Believe it or not I have seen so many sort of thing in my life, that this is not a foregone conclusion at me anymore.

Sorry about asking this on here, but i can't find better topic... This is very helpful topic and i think information what i ask will help some other people as well who are planning to buy something from imax international.

Edit: oh their wesites said also:

2. PRICES

All the prices shown in this catalog do not include 20% Italian VAT.

So will there be this + 20% from charge when i order from there, or do I have to put it there myself? Can someone help, which has ordered from there sometime? :P
