This site is no substitute for a formal apprenticeship

This site is not a substitute for a professional apprenticeship with a licensed tattoo studio. Nor is this site a definitive source for learning the art or trade of tattooing. An apprenticeship is the ONLY universally accepted way to learn proper safety practices and sound technique.

While we welcome members of all levels, we STRONGLY advocate staying away from skin until you've received formal training from someone who works in the field. Hell, even hair stylists must complete over a year of courses, pass a state health board exam, and apprentice under a professional studio before earning a chair.

The trade of tattooing has a rich history and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you respect the art, please show your respects by learning the right way.

Hey folks

I tried to search for the answer because i could have sworn i had seen it discussed here before, but to no avail.

My machines kept cutting out yesterday and I think its the clipcord not maintaining contact due to a weak spring. anyone know of a fix for it? I tried bending the springs opposite of the bend but it doesn't seem like it will last long. I was also thinking of inserting some kind of bendable rod, but have no idea what it would be made out of.

just wanted to see if any of you all had a similar problem and solution.

thanks!

mine does the same, tis really annoying !

Thinking about buying a new one as mine looks like it cost about 0.04p to make (probably less) seen some good looking ones artists have been using with springs on and was gonna look for something lke that :)

But there probably is some trick of the trade to keep them nice and tight but I dont know it.
