Guidelines for Giving Feedback

Please consider the following when giving feedback on a member's tattoo:

Line work: Does the artist seem to have grasped the technique of applying smooth, consistent lines? Do the lines flow with no shakes, skips or blow-outs?

Fill: Are all color and black areas a consistent color?

Shading: Does the tattoo show smooth gradients and transition effectively from light to dark?

Color Harmony:
Does the tattoo have colors that compliment each other?

Placement/Size:
Does the tattoo seem to be the right size for the area chosen? Is it centered and lined up with any other work? Does it go with the flow of the body?

Design: How well does the overall design work? Does it have sound composition? Does it feel well thought out?

Feedback: What areas could be improved?

from wot i can see looks ok, if you was going for a cartoony look, think you've almost done it ;) about colors.... well 2 purples are very close, looking at tones, and so it makes the design look a lil flat unless the camera took away the lightness of highlights). if you instead used light, bright pink on highlights it would bring it to life, and maby bit of white in places. also if i was to do it i would add a bit more dark shade coming from the centre of the flower on to pettals bit further than you did.:):)

Not to bad looking, like eveline said ,a lighter color to bring out highlites, darker shading in the center.I think I would have turned the longer stem across the hip for a better flow with the hip bone ;)

thanks for the crit, there actually IS white and pink in it along with a couple of purples,i hear ya about the centre shading maybe being a bit darker but all said and done she absolutely loves it as it is. The pic was just a drawing which looked a bit cartoony and I actually tried to breathe a bit of life into it but I obviously failed miserably ;) . thanx anyway

Cool.
iIain't much on the red&blue in that piece but "different strokes......"
Because of the camera angle it's a bit hard to tell but as said....could use some shading and contrast(petals).
...also....
How old is the pic? If it's new then you may have been a lil' rough on the Beaver.... After 7 weeks the aftercare should be long gone.

If you ain't livin' on the edge, you're takin' up too much space.
