THIS IS A SITE FOR ARTISTS, NOT CLIENTS (Please read before posting)   04/18/2018

I'm seeing a lot more questions from people who are looking to get tattoos, asking about ideas, healing instructions, etc. These are questions you should ask YOUR  LOCAL TATTOO ARTIST, not random people on the internet. This site is specifically for tattoo artists and those looking to get into the trade by way of an apprenticeship. Don't be shy! Google local artists and drop by a shop or two, check out their portfolio of work and talk about your ideas with a professional who can help you achieve the best tattoo experience.

       Thanks for reading!

  1. Hello my name is Rafael Solis, new here, Im from Costa Rica, have been tattooing since 2015 and got graduated from digital animation in 2016. I found this site and think its amazing and want to share my work to get some critics and comments, and get better every day. My facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/135tattoo/ and my instagram is: https://www.instagram.com/hng135/ . Thanks!
  2. Now Then all, Just joined up and figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Denham, or affectionately Denweasel, I'm from the industrial mecca of Leeds, UK. I'm a pro freestyle skateboarder, which basically gives me the same status as a professional Yo-Yoer. Sorry if anyone here is a professional Yo-Yoer. I spent most of my life being told what I am or am not capable of, and after attending art college a few years ago with dreams of getting into the tattoo industry, I soon had the creativity crushed out of me and headed into fairly monotonous lines of work. Anyways, I've recently put pen back to paper and started creating my portfolio, picking up where I left off a few years ago. I feel that at 25 I might be a little late to the party, and I've now got responsibilities and more bills to pay, but my hope is still to find an apprenticeship and take on the dream job I always hoped for. I feel more motivated now than ever before but I know there's still a long way to go. Any advice at all would be rad. I'll get posting a few bits of flash up and I'd really appreciate your feedback, and be as brutally honest as you would like. I was going to write up a post asking for apprenticeship advice, but I figured this had been done to death and I didn't want to clog up the page. I'm having a word with myself to see if this is possible and working out funds/time, so any advice from your experience would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to chatting to you all, Cheers! Denweasel
  3. Hi everyone I'm fairly new to this forum haven't posted yet but have been reading everything like crazy. I've always been into drawing and sketching and love doing realism type pieces. I feel that there is always room to improve on my drawings. A good friend has been a mentor to me in tattooing and even after learning so much from him there is still so much to learn haha. This site has been great in finding info on things that I don't think to ask all of the time and I have taken so much in that all of you had been nice enough to offer up in the posts. I'm 30 years old from the Boston area. I've always been into drawing but have only started to learn tattooing over the past year or so. I have a couple of cheaper machines I purchased a while back and had to break them down and replace all parts. My main focus initially was learning how to build repair and tune the machines. The first thing my mentor went over and over was bbp and sanitation. This art has been something that has taken over all of my attention when I actually get down time between working full time an having a family. I look forward to keep learning from my mentor and everyone on this forum and I'm convinced that this has to be the best site for learning from a lot of talented artist and using different techniques to find what works best for me. So thank you to everyone that takes the time to get this info out there to help people like me to learn a proper and safe way to love this art.
  4. Hello Everyone

Hello. I'm Chelsea, a soon to be 22 year old tattooist in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm still kinda green, seeing as I have only been in the tattoo industry approaching 4 years now. But I had to wait until I was 18 to apprentice. Which, I did as soon as I was considered an adult. I had always meant to get a membership here, having been told by my teacher about this site, but I had been focused on learning and many other things the last few years. Glad to be finally on! I have worked in 4 shops. First one I was there a year. the middle two... well, I was still looking for a new place that was a good fit.. I have been in the shop I am currently in for a year now, and I plan to stick around. I am not a fan of moving from shop to shop ( Shop jumping ), so unless something goes very wrong, I am staying put. While I am out of my apprenticeship, as I said, I am still new to the industry. If you ask me something, I will answer if I have the answer. If not, I am sure that there is someone on this site to help. Not sure what else to say. So... Hello!
