  1. This is my first tattoo. I got it on November 12th. Does this look normal? The scabbing and milky color is freaking me out that something is wrong. It isn’t warm to the touch or anything or really red. Thanks for any answers!
  2. Help!

Hello everyone! Im a starting out tattoo artist and i was taking classes for a while in other words doing apprenticeship, im still working on my shading therefore i have not attempted to try it on an actual person ( because like no. Lol ) but my mentor told me i was ready to do names and other linage work. And so i did. I had a few people wanting for me to tatt them but ive been abit scared for one reason, what happens when it gets to the healing process... i noticed it on me first but i didnt know if it was because i didnt moisturize properly or because i didnt go deep enough im not sure but please give me some advice if anyone knows please! So everytime i do a peice , well once i finish it looks good , as it should no broken lines , nothing but ive had people tell me that while in the healing process it starts to go away that it starts pealing and the ink comes out with it , leaving them with a patchy tattoo which im not happy with at all , because it ruins my rep you know? If theres any advice you can give please id highly appreciate it!!
  3. Healing advice

I just want to get s little more advice because I'm being told so many different things from so many people. I've originally had a tattoo done on my chest and coloured and it turned out great. I had some of my arm done just a week ago and I want to know what's the best way to prevent scabbing? BecUse my arm scabbed up pretty bad. I was told to dry heal the tattoo and use no cream unless it got infected. Once I got home I was told to take a shower and lightly wash it and then press harder and harder so you push out white blood cells or something. I can't really remember. But im also being told that my artist should never have said to dry heal it and I should have put a cream on it etc. so I'm going back in a few weeks to get the touch up and rest of the colour done. But are there better steps I should take into looking after it so it comes out looking good?
  4. Well, getting right into it, I got my first tattoo 2 days ago. For the most part, it's going fine, I love it and it seems to be following the usual healing process. I do, however, have a little dent (about 3mm) and I'm not sure what it is (no smell, pain or discharge). When I finished the tattoo I didn't have it but after cleaning it a few times, while drying with a piece of paper, I noticed littles flakes of skin and ink coming out. Since then I have been more careful, but am just a bit worried. I've been searching around and haven't found anything that LOOKS similar, but from description I have two possible explanations 1- it was overworked and the skin caved in a bit; 2- when I dried it, I could've removed skin, since it was softer. I'm having a hard time taking pictures of it because it is so small, but I appreciate any help (: (in case anyone is wondering, it was done at a very reputable place and I am meeting with my artist in 2 weeks to see if I need a retouch, it was included in the price)
  5. Hi everyone. My tattoo is 11 days old. The black lines in the tattoo have healed well. I am concerned about the black arrow point. There is no infection, but this scab doesn't seem to be healing. The lines on the arrow point seem to be less black than, say, the sun. Are those lighter because it hasn't fully healed? Also, where the scab is, the scab seems to be shallower in the middle, like a small divot or indention. I'm thinking that's because the scab sides are higher. I guess I just expect the scab to be the same on the whole surface of it, not indented in the middle. I took extremely good care of it, following healing procedures from my artist. Please let me know what you think or any advice (or reassurances!). I've attached a picture. It's a bit red because I type at my desk, and my wrist sometimes touches the edge of the desk, so it's a bit irritated. Thanks so much!
  6. Hello! I got my tattoo a month ago. It still looks like it is healing. It was supposed to be done after 2-3 weeks. It is raised, wrinkly and very dry. Any help on how to make it look like a normal tattoo?
  7. Hello to everyone! I'm new here and I got my tattoo a month ago. It still looks like it is in a healing process. My friend got one too and his healed 2 weeks after getting it done. What should I do to make it look like a normal tattoo? It is raised and looks really wrinkly and dry.
