THIS IS A SITE FOR ARTISTS, NOT CLIENTS (Please read before posting)   04/18/2018

I'm seeing a lot more questions from people who are looking to get tattoos, asking about ideas, healing instructions, etc. These are questions you should ask YOUR  LOCAL TATTOO ARTIST, not random people on the internet. This site is specifically for tattoo artists and those looking to get into the trade by way of an apprenticeship. Don't be shy! Google local artists and drop by a shop or two, check out their portfolio of work and talk about your ideas with a professional who can help you achieve the best tattoo experience.

       Thanks for reading!

  2. Mike Malone Study

Here is my take on a Mike Malone indian squaw tattoo. This photo comes from, "Tattooing from Japan to the West" by Horitaka. This book has some great interviews and stellar pictures. Initially I had some trouble with my sketch, namely the tilt and position of the head and the front shoulder looking out of place in relation to the torso. I took some creative liberties (as I usually do) to make these 'glitches' a bit more pleasing to my eye. Speaking of eyes, I was not loving the eyes that I had drawn up so I editied them about 5 times, I am sitting better with them now but some minor tweaking might be necessary in the final draft. There is a visible difference in the original to my sketch and I am cool with that. Thanks for any comments, critiques, rants and raves. Humbly, VF
