THIS IS A SITE FOR ARTISTS, NOT CLIENTS (Please read before posting)   04/18/2018

I'm seeing a lot more questions from people who are looking to get tattoos, asking about ideas, healing instructions, etc. These are questions you should ask YOUR  LOCAL TATTOO ARTIST, not random people on the internet. This site is specifically for tattoo artists and those looking to get into the trade by way of an apprenticeship. Don't be shy! Google local artists and drop by a shop or two, check out their portfolio of work and talk about your ideas with a professional who can help you achieve the best tattoo experience.

       Thanks for reading!

I'm expecting the full on baptism of fire! Haha
  2. From the Frozen Northern Wastes

Sound man, will do. He's done pretty much all mine for me so far, nice environment to go to n all. I'll post some of my crappy flash up here n all, get some brutal feedback lol
  3. From the Frozen Northern Wastes

Haha fair play mate! Yeah I go in and see the guys at Blind Eye in Headingley a bit, but from speaking to them the market's saturated in Leeds. Still, the fella I usually see has agreed to take a look at my portfolio and give some feedback which is a start

True Mark, I think my concerns all just centre around the fact I've got a full time job, so fitting an apprenticeship in along with skate competitions could be tricky. Don't suppose you know man, how many days a week would be the minimum that someone would take on an apprentice?
  5. Now Then all, Just joined up and figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Denham, or affectionately Denweasel, I'm from the industrial mecca of Leeds, UK. I'm a pro freestyle skateboarder, which basically gives me the same status as a professional Yo-Yoer. Sorry if anyone here is a professional Yo-Yoer. I spent most of my life being told what I am or am not capable of, and after attending art college a few years ago with dreams of getting into the tattoo industry, I soon had the creativity crushed out of me and headed into fairly monotonous lines of work. Anyways, I've recently put pen back to paper and started creating my portfolio, picking up where I left off a few years ago. I feel that at 25 I might be a little late to the party, and I've now got responsibilities and more bills to pay, but my hope is still to find an apprenticeship and take on the dream job I always hoped for. I feel more motivated now than ever before but I know there's still a long way to go. Any advice at all would be rad. I'll get posting a few bits of flash up and I'd really appreciate your feedback, and be as brutally honest as you would like. I was going to write up a post asking for apprenticeship advice, but I figured this had been done to death and I didn't want to clog up the page. I'm having a word with myself to see if this is possible and working out funds/time, so any advice from your experience would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to chatting to you all, Cheers!
