  1. Thanks guys - I thought about picking the scabs as well, but was worried about the scarring. I actually just tried soaking it in hot water for about 20 minutes...the scabs are still intact, but the shading has gotten dramatically lighter. Not sure if it's going to stay that way or not though, we'll see tomorrow morning...I do worry about the lines blowing out though if I keep soaking everyday. Fingers crossed...and yeah, lesson learned regarding shit tattoos!!
  2. hi all Sorry, I'm sure this has been brought up in the forums many times before, but I did a search and couldn't find the relevant info...soooo, I got a tattoo two days ago that I'm not happy with. My fault; I didn't really think it out well enough. But it's a large tattoo covering my shoulder/upper arm, and quite dark with lots of shading. I am positive that I don't like it, and would like to fade it to the point where I could possibly do a cover up in the future. I feel time is of the essence right now, since the first couple days really makes or breaks a new tattoo...if I intentionally sat in the sun without sunblock for a couple hours a day for the next week, would this help fade the tattoo? Or just make it blister-y and worse? Other people have suggested soaking it in hot water...but would this distort the tattoo in addition to pulling out the ink? I have 8 tattoos already, so I'm not just panicking - I realize it looks darker now than it will later on...but I already know that it's not what I want, and I really want to fade it. And I feel I should do it now, while it's still new. I just want to make sure I fade it evenly, and not distort it or make it blotchy, which would be a headache... If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated! Thank you!!
