Well its been a damn good amount of time since Ive wrote in here..

and I figured I should make an update as to where Ive been and what Ive been up to..

Working in a shop has been a very big learning experience.. mainly learning what NOT to do alot more then what to do..
its amazing that even with the little I know, I still know more then the head artist does..
and yet even when you teach them a little trick (mind you Im the fucking apprentice.. and Im teaching the head artist things.. ) he takes all the credit
for it like he's the shit.. FUCKER.

the dude broke a rear spring a few weeks ago during a tattoo and damn near shit himself.. cause he had NO clue what to do.. was in a total panic as to what was going on and how
to handle the situation. it was kinda commical.. but I fixed it for him and he was back on his way..

on top of the lack of skill and knowledge.. is the amazing ammount of carelessness that goes around.. noone seems to give a shit about keeping things clean.
using green soap to surface clean everything (hello that doesnt do shit people).. and Ive been there awhile now and have not even see a sore test for the autoclave let alone
one actually being ran..

Ive pretty much gained alot of respect from the owner and his mom (who runs the front for the most part).. and even though Im putting out work comparable to the other artist in the shop Im still not making any money cause Im an "apprentice" fuck that.. I know more then the fuckers working there..
I think they need to go back and apprentice..

its insain.. I honestly laff to myself ALOT while Im there..

man i feel for you at the last shop i was at last yr (cave creek body art in az.) there was this artist(usin the term loosely) that had been tattooin for 40 yrs (according to him but he counts the times he was using needle and thread and hand picking tattoos) well the owner was convinced that this guy was the shit mainly cuz he could tell customers "over 40 yrs experience" well i've seen this old timer clean his tips (while tattooing )in a dirty ultrasonic with the last customers dirty tubes right in it. and when i called him on it and mentioned it to the owner as a major sanitary issue they both were like"he's been doin this 4 times as long as you i think he knows what to do" add that to me catchin the owner keep my tips and cancel my appointments like 4 times i had to bail. now i'm workin a regular job until i can get my own shop goin. doesn't it suck when you have to bite your tongue when you are right just because someone else had the money to open the doors before you did??

well I know I dont have the skills to open a shop of my own.. Im far from that level.. but I do believe I have the skills to make a VERY good employee and a damn good apprentice..

but yeah that is pretty much what was going on there.. I simply couldnt stand by and watch what was going on without saying something.. I mean I figured if I shared what I knew about cleaning and stuff that maybe it would help the shop out on the right track and also help me gain respect from the ownership..

but they didnt wanna hear anything about that.. just about making more $
