Well sadly I have been away for about a week.. although I have still been working on my tattooing skills daily..

We had a party a few days ago and bought a bunch of fruit.. one of which was a honey dew melon... after balling all the inside of the melon I realized it could probably be a VERY sweet medium for practicing on.. soo I went to town.. the melon was huge so it gave me LOTS of room to try so larger designs..

Im still waiting on my order from technical supply.. (transfer paper and such) so these again were all freehanded on with a sharpie and then tattooed!

let me know what you think.. please be brutaly honest..
I used a 9rl and a 11mag

I started with this mask designs..

you can see I missed a line on the upper right part of the mask.. dumb dumb dumb..

this is the other half of the same design..

then I seen this flower designs on a flash site and decided I would give it a try..

I was going to color fill the flower.. but the melon wasnt working to well on color fill.. it took the color well.. but when you whip the color gets on the surrounding areas and leaches into the rine of the melon.. which sucked. you can see what Im talking about in the skull I did..

you can see near the eye how I whiped the red and it got on the surrounding areas and made them pink..

also you notice the fin on the back has green all on it.. I did a little flower above the skull whiped and got green on it on accident.

was pretty good practice for line work though.. since the melon is so large it really cuts down on the tendancy of trying to move the melon to a better position instead of just tatttoing it as it sits ...

So let me know what ya think.. what are my weaknesses? where should I focus my concentration on learning?
