Looks good, dude. His hair is great (on top of his head). The beard is still a bit slop when it comes to shading but you're definitely getting muuuuuch better at it. I also am really not a fan of that derek noble'ish extra flair that some people put around their pieces, like where the penny is, but to each their own. More polished than your later stuff, keep it up.

I would have (possibly) put the bullet/coin hole in the forehead or in the temple area, I like the idea, of dead celebs or heads of state in zombie form, you could go to town with caractures...P.

I haven't shaded an old school beard before, but maybe try approaching it next time shading each individual bump around the beard. Or just go generically shading from the outside and fading to negative space toward the center. Just an .02 on that one.

Should've done a few tests first to figure it out. Whenever I'm scared of a piece of shading or not totally sure how I'm gonna do it, I very lightly pencil it in first. Helps a lot. Shame to bring down a good piece with a lack of planning.

Enjoying your zombies though biggrin.gif

It's a nice concept, but the application af paint is patchy, and I'm not to keen on the line weight around the eyes, work on that and your gradients and your flash is gonna start to rock!

Ok, being super picky.... (giving it a nerd style crit tongue.gif )
suit collar, bow tie, all over the beard, hair, gradients in hair and beard, in the red where brains exposed.... don't take it the wrong way, I'm just super anal when it comes to the blacks being 100% black, and no white paper showing through the blacks or strong colours - it distracts my eyes. Just a lil more attention to that and work on them gradients and it would look super slick, alot more pro wink.gif It looks to me that you might be relying on the paper being very wet to carry the black to create the gradient? If so rememer to use 2 brushes, one for black a clean damp one to create the gradient, lightly wet the paper with a damp brush going up to the black, wait a sec or 2, then with the clean lightly damp brush go along the edge where you want the gradient, you can go over the gradient a couple of times to smooth it out or extend it (sorry if you know this already!)

also you could have got some more saturation on the blood coming from the eyes mouth, ie make it redder like the exposed brains - would look wicked i.m.o.

the mouth is kinda funky too

Are you using black water colours for the spit shading?... if so give indian ink another go... once you have gradients down with it you wont look back dude!

peas!
