first of i want to appologize for the bad quality pics, but they are good enough to see the quality of the job i believe.
now i want to start out by thanking tommie from t.w. customs (check out his gallery on here.he makes some of the most beautiful coilis i have ever seen, not to mention how sick they run!) who basically held my hand through the whole learning process, not to mention supplying me with my first winder (and refused to take money for it,its so cool.hooks up to my psu,and give it juice with the foot pedal.screw all that other stuff like drills etc...not that u cant make good coils with them) that works really well for me. i can never thank him enough, from answering questions to sending supplies, and refusing to take payment for them, even when he had to go out and buy them. also i want to thank johnnie aka (markt4lyf) who has been a big help to.freely answering questions about the way he does things to some guy he never met, just cause imo he saw i was serious about what i wanna do,and did my own leg work, only asking question that cant easily be answered with a google search, which is to often the case with people, wether it be here on the forum,or people starting out in this game in general.too many just want everything handed to them.luckily i made some friends where to an extent alot of that was the case for me,but im the exception not the rule. so thanks again you guys, and everyone on the forum in general who have taught me more in such a short time then i could have hoped to learn in a lifetime so heres a coil i just kept wrapping and unwrapping cause i didnt have enough wire for a set lol ![]() here is my first finished set,8 layer ![]() thanks again everyone, feel free to ask any questions you guys may have This post has been edited by fatcount: Oct 26 2009, 11:52 PM -------------------- I wash my hands before i touch my dick.

Same old story....the inside wire, where it enters the coil through the bottom washer is getting in the way of making an even layer up to the end and so as the layers proceed the lump or gap gets more pronounced and prevents the wrap going up being level so after abour 6 or eight its a right mess.I got a bundle of magnet wire that Ive stripped off laying on the floor....not good.I suppose that I could have the inner wire enter through a slot on theinside of the washer instead of a drill hole but that leaves the possibility of coating breakdown and a short with the the core, which I have had before.

Thanks mate,I had been packing back the winds with my nails but obviously I had not been paying enough attention to getting the wire flat to the washer to start with. What do you use to make the wire entry holes?Im using a 1mm drill.

cover with plastic, shrink wrap, wet dip, scooby tube, insulating tube, etc? all good ideas i supposse. and johnnie seriously, thanks again man. tommie you to ofcourse but you know what it is bro.ill just thank you again when i talk to you lol. start posting already haha,i know your busy as shit, but jeez....90 something percent of what i know comes from you man. and shocker and,markt4lyf what about a small bow like was discussed, but using the same mag wire as we are winding with? enamel on enamel a problem? anybody who could make this for me id consider a trade (or even a reasonable cash payment, but youd need to be a respected member or have a cosign from one.sry not that im a respected member, but if im sending money it is what it is).but id need to atleast see a drawing first before i agree.and remember its pretty important to have a screw on each end,or some other device/or means of me changing the wire, string rope or whatever else markt4lyf tells me i should use as needed...lol.no but seriously what should i use in the mini bow bro if metal is no good.enameled mag wire fine?anything better u can think of? your fingers harden to the task after a while, fingers give you so much feel and controle i wouldnt want to use anything else i feel you on that.they do give me the best knowledge of whats going on without having to inspect carefully by eye.but damn. the pain is something fierce. and im not just making a set here and there.im making lots (gonna be selling the bulk of them).always different beautiful custom coils, with parts you will pretty much never have seen exactly the same parts before,as my stock is all being custom made or personally.thinga like washers and wraps.hopefully i can bring one more flavor to the table.will post pics as soon as i can,but you guys see how shit my camera is.what wil you really see? maybe no more point in posting more pics This post has been edited by fatcount: Oct 31 2009, 04:20 PM -------------------- I wash my hands before i touch my dick.

High Tech Winding tool #1
plastic toothbrush handle, won't damage enamel and when it wears out you can steal another from the bathroom. Very good for getting those first couple of winds real tight and gentle enough that you can chase the winds right through. Hope this helps

Hope this helps ![]() thanks buddy,i already made my bow.will post pic later.jus a bit busy right now (multi tasking on comp). but that is deff much more low tech lol.nice job.thanks. this is turning into a good thread. gotta say again though if it wasnt for tommie from t.w. customs we wouldnt be having this talk. dude showed me the coil winding game from the ground up,and was hard enough on me that im making sweet sets now that run on super low volts (i notices that.the better my winding get,the less loose parts.the more even.jus the more perfect they are the less volts they seem to run on,for me atleast.) -------------------- I wash my hands before i touch my dick.
