Oh. My. God.
I have just spent soooo long trying to get a photo of this in which I'm happy with the colour accuracy. Bloody stupid winter cloudy bullshit sky. Lol! But finally the sun came out for about 5 minutes...and ofcourse as I'm typing this the day is brightening up...bastard. This is about as close to truth as I could get it. In real life it's really warm and bright, the sea is a little greener, the pinks on the tail fins are a bit more neon and the tail is more shiny and glowy in real life too Here she is: ![]() Detail: ![]() The paper only just fit on my board once the sealing tape was on...which is why it's a tight squeeze at the edges. Suppose I coulda expanded the canvas in Photoshop...just reverse cropping, but wasn't sure if that would be allowed. Spotted a shading error that's bugging me... on her right arm, the one holding the swallow. It's foreshortened obviously, hence the forearm appearing much shorter than the upper arm because it's extending forwards. But that means there should be light shining through the gap onto her upper arm just above the elbow bend. Currently the shading suggests that the forearm is right up against the upper arm...which is isn't coz then the wrist would be almost at the shoulder. Just wanted to let you know I know about that (All you scale-nazis, be nice, it was my first real try at scales... And yeh, I didn't line it....please don't hurt me... *backs away slowly, covering butthole* This post has been edited by amybird: Feb 14 2010, 05:07 AM |
