5. Entry deadline is Saturday 1st of September 2000h AEST, KILO time GMT+10H = i think that should have said GMT - 10 now ive missed the deadline on my colour piece dayum!

I have to say that There are some EXCELLENT artists on this forum, but you're definitely one of the best. thanks  I can try to explain...this time when I was drawing the hair I started with the light shades in the picture and cross-hatched different colors of pencils (reds, oranges, yellows and browns) together lightly to try and get the right combination for his hair color. After I had what I thought looked like the right color for the highlights of his hair, I started building up more colors on top (in longer strokes of the direction the hair was going) where it was more saturated or darker. For the dark parts I tried not to use much black on top of the colors (except where it was really dark), instead I blended dark browns with a bit of dark purple (I think I may have even put a little green in there). I just looked at the colors of the picture and if I saw a bit of a red tone in one area I'd add more red or if it was a bit of a "cooler" tone I'd add a bit more blue or purple and so on until I thought it looked finished. I hope that made sense lol I find it hard explaing my technique because I'm always changing what I do depending on the picture. im sure that makes sense to you dude, but the time here now is like 9.45pm on saturday 1hr and 45mins past the deadline...oh oh no sorry i mean 10 hours after you posted at 11.44 am . wtf is KILO time? ive never heard of it?

These are all really terrific. Lotta talented people here! Wish I had joined sooner and knew y'all were doing this.....I love portraits! And nudes....oh well, maybe next time.

well it was a hard decision and the talent is definitely raw, i like citymorgues but i think the two that really showed a bit more talent are being sold short because of choice of picture or whatever. nice job all.

by the way i voted on big evils because i just cant get over how fuckin good he did on such an impacting person such as the evil fake...as fake as this MM is i love his music because it is a great soundtrack of a fucked up heart. yeah iam fucked up right now along with my heart but oh fuckin well.

It was hard as hell for me to decide but I voted for the big evil . I thought he did a fantastic job on MM. Wynterhawks was excellent
 as well as Sarahs....This was a crazy difficult decison. Great job everybody on this week contest!

ESSEX_GAZ Kilo time is Nato for GMT+10. Zulu is GMT Each letter of the alphabet is plus one hour ontop of GMT. This server runs on GMT when you post it says the time for GMT above your post. Add 10 hours to the time I posted entries closed and it was 2044H AEST. Its confusing as hell!!!
