Stay true to the old school roots, or break away and show us a new inspirational style.

Contest ends Thursday the 12th, midnight, Hawaii time.




1:- Original Art ONLY
2:- Each member may submit only ONE entry per week,
2:- Pencil, Pen, Ink, Crayon, Paints, watercolor etc...
3:- NO Digital or Photoshop (unless your cropping or making it a smaller size)
4:- Week ends on Saturday ink trails time (scroll to the bottom of the page)
5:- Art must be "Tattooable."
6:- Nothing you drew a month ago is allowed, must be Original/New stuff from every contestant
7:- If you feel the need to Prove your work, please provide evidence of this. (entirely up to you)
8:- NO Jacking off the weekly thread what so ever !!
9:- If the new contest theme is not picked by the winner by Monday at midnight the moderator for this will choose the new topic.



10:- THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE IS........................................HAVE FUN! tongue.gif

That was a confusing way of wording it. Sorry, I was able to edit it in time to make more sense.

Whatever you wanna do. You can pay homage to the old pioneers by keeping it old school, or utilize your natural style to come up with something new. It's open to what you want.

Dammit Justin.......did you not get around to coloring this on purpose?? You would have had another great shot at winning if you had. I've noticed that drawings that are completely colored and "flashy"(no pun intended)seem to win. Well no matter........I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile.......
Well, hopefully whatever it is that's taking you away from the site has nothing to do with us, and hopefully it's easily dealt with.

well I've got a piece I started this week, that fits this idea perfectly, only thing is, it's 18x24, and my 21st birthday is this weekend, so I'm gonna have to bust my ass to get it finished... If i do however, people better bring their a-game, because this piece is by far my best piece thus far smile.gif smile.gif

Okay, here's mine. I have no idea how to color this one, so I went black and gray. Some old and a little bit of new style.
For the old style I've used Sailor Jerry's flash as reference, Can't go wrong with a name like that on aquatic themes.

great peice bro, but i reckon more shading/filling/detail could really make this a peice to reckon with .....

(like the boat itself, great btw, but for the rest of it ) to make it true black and gray... imagine that on skin. it would look half done.....

sorry guys new to this site and thought the rules were to make it tattooable....

Thanks for the feed back Tat2tat, I'm going straight back to the drawing board.

Your right, It's not black and gray at all, so actually it is half done. I don't know how I just left it at this. And if everybody does not mind I'm gonna fine tune this. This will still be my entry, but ill just keep this as a work in progress.
