I wish I had more time, this is one of my favorite subjects. I did manage to steal away enough time to scratch this out with a marker, then decided to color it. It's not really traditional DOD is it? biggrin.gif In fact, it's not even my usual style. laugh.gif

Those are real nice Mark! Do you know of any good reference books for day of the dead inspired images...? I really like that style and recently did some dancing skeletons but am finding it difficult to find source material... loving the entries so far!

Google the name "Posada", He's was a Mexican Engraver/Illustrator
who died around the mid nineteen tens. He's the artist who did the
famous skeleton in the big Sunday hat called "Calavera De La Catrina".
Alternatively you could go to http://www.mexicansugarskull.com/.
Hope I've helped.............

Well, don't know if I stayed in the spirit of the contest.
I did however use my computer to scan my drawing so I could colour a copy, and not the original.
Hope that is ok?
So this is my entry, and my first attempt at anything remotely close to this subject... LOL
As mentioned, hope I stayed in the spirit of the contest...

Hope you like smile.gif

Oups, too late to edit forgot about that new rule.
Wanted to mention I'm crap at colours.. lol My girl-friend actually colour
a another copy, which i think is better. But since that would be going against
the rules of the contest, figured I'd be honest and post my attempt at colour.

p.s: Blackwindow! There you go, got my ass in the weekly contest.. LOL
