With hunting season just around the corner, I have been seeing a few peeps comming into the shop looking for wildlife designs (I assume it is a seasonal thing). I figured we could try a WILDLIFE
theme for this week. Wether your into hunting deer, elk, bear, ect., or just have a eye for nature, it should be a broad enough theme. I am looking forward to seeing some pics of our fur covered friends or potential jerky material/wall mountings.

Theme of the week WILDLIFE

Rules as taken from week 9, which were taken from week 8...

Rules
1:- Original Art ONLY
2:- Pencil, Pen, Ink, Crayon, Paints etc...
3:- No Digital or Photoshop (unless your cropping or making it a smaller size)
4:- Week ends on Sat at midnight eastern time (my time)
5:- It has to be Tattooable.
6:- Nothing you drew a month ago is allowed, must be Original/New stuff from every contestant
7:- If you feel the need to Prove your work, please provide evidence of this. (entirely up to you)
8:- NO High Jacking of this thread what so ever!!
9:- Limit postings of your artwork to 1 piece (this would be the Roach fubar rule)

I was thinking along the lines of Wildlife, ie. animals that you would find out in nature (deer, bear, rabbit, fish, ect.). In the past week 3 peeps (2 male, 1 female) have inquired at the shop about having some deer designs drawn up. The shop that I am apprenticing at has a ton of flash, though there are only a few pieces that actually have deer designs. There seem to be a lot more out there with wolves and bear. I have seen a couple of really good tatts with salmon/trout fising themes, which would also work.

Great idea! I haven't really been into the last few contest topics, but I'll definitely draw something up for this.

You should practice everything because most off the street people will want an animal over a person most times.

My weakness is bodies or figures.
I was trying to do a drawing of my wifes protrait did well on the face (well pretty well face was to long) but the body would not cooperate.
I am reading some books and I am going to take some art classes to hone in on what I am hoping is my future.
I have been operating a construction company for 10 years and have been in the business over twice as long. I can't see me climbing ladders and carrying materials when I get old. I can see myself slingin ink though.
And imagine all the chicks that would wanna love on the old tat guy ;-)

My very first entry ever!!! He didn't come out quite as mean looking as I'd hoped...i think he needed more eyebrows to furl over his eyes or something...but he's good enough for a quick entry I suppose...
