> This site is no substitute for a formal apprenticeship

This site is not a substitute for a professional apprenticeship with a licensed tattoo studio. Nor is this site a definitive source for learning the art or trade of tattooing. An apprenticeship is the ONLY universally accepted way to learn proper safety practices and sound technique.

While we welcome members of all levels, we STRONGLY advocate staying away from skin until you've received formal training from someone who works in the field. Hell, even hair stylists must complete over a year of courses, pass a state health board exam, and apprentice under a professional studio before earning a chair.

The trade of tattooing has a rich history and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you respect the art, please show your respects by learning the right way.

I only have the one pair. They dont come sterile ,but neither do i so does it really matter?
It is really only the pink one that bounces,so therefore does the orange one need it as well?

Im sure now all the people will begin to use Dettol for cleaning, not for applying stencils.
About the machine - Im good on internet and I 2 weeks looked for any info about AC-powered machine. So Im sure Im the inventor of this, or at least not so much people are thinking about this at all.
Im not proud about this - I just celebrated the invention with a friend and much beer (oh my...) I will put some videos soon, must work more about the impulse form first (the ways to change the pusle form).
Depending by the pulse, it can be used as liner or shader or coctail mixer/shaker.

Dear experienced friends, let me know the difference between clean and sterile, when speaking about the customer's skin and bacterias, germs, and some hepatite-infected warehouse workers.
I dont want to say that ALL studios in the world are not carrying about the customer, just asking a general question about what I saw in the years in Russia, Spain, Bulgaria and Sweden (i.e. the same everywhere).
The last week a romanian tattoist used his phone to store in it my number - while worked.

Cheerz!

If you have your word, 500$ that my reconstructed machine works - no frontal spring and no contact group. I also will remove the capacitor, while the power unit have the impulse forming function.
The next step is to construct a power with controlable frequency, voltage and front of the impulse, but it works now too.

to create a sterile field you need to stop
1 people from entering into the area
2 you would need to remove all the air out of said area and keep it out
is that possible NO
3 you would need to eliminate any biohazards in the area totally impossible as soon as the needle goes into the skin
4 anything entering the area would need to be sterilized before it enters the area when its in the area and as soon as it leaves the area

so how you gonna manage that?

clean and sterile are different

OK thanks for the links, looks like Im not the first. However I did it without any info, so I felt myself as inventor. Then came the beer smile.gif

Im not xxx sanitar inspector, just asked for your opinions. I remember the first wave of real tattooing 20 years ago in Eastern Europe, the clean and sterile were then without much difference - this terms were new.
Some army people still are using burned soles of boots to produce black paint...

Cheerz!

Hey, I want to thank all you guys for the warm reception. I expected brutal aggression from all bad asses, after my fall-start. Im sory I havent now to show you my first machine, made from truck crystal-cleaning motor and bodkin. When I tried it the second time in the military school, I used thrash music background (cannot remember Slayer or Deathcult it was) to mask my screams. The first time I told the officer I was listening to russian rock, it hurts very much (the bodkin, not the russian rock, but the officer was not known with the modern soviet music). By the way, the lines were enough fine then, for the said conditions (about 1,5mm single line - nowadays some people does outlining with 9 liner, creo no much difference). BTW the urine was used for centuries for desinfection. Well we now have Dettol however tongue.gif .

Cheerz!

Im international for many years, but 20 years ago there was nothing in Eastern Europe about the tattoos - the communist regime prohibited the tattoos for 5 decades. Now everything can be bought online or at conventions, but then we used improvised machines and colors. Please do not ask how we did stencils hehe, the spirit master was unknown. Nowadays there is no difference worldwide in general. Well sometimes horrible things can be seen everywhere (as the romanian with the phone, he is working in Spain).

Cheerz!

A bulgarian. Beer (cans of Stainburg, exactly 36 x 0.5l, counted together. I think I took more than him, but not sure). Drinking with a russian, the russians are good friends. Please do not do this at home!
Heh, I expected some comments about the contactless machines, but such personal interest... Thanks Im proud!
