I was browsing another tattoo related forum and found a topic discussing these styles and how they have become more common and a sort of easy way into the tattoo industry, I was reading comments regarding many artists building up portfolios of work in this style, and a lot of artists saying they were becoming bored of seeing it in portfolios from people who wanted an apprenticeship.I am concerned as i dont know what category my work falls into, but some people have described it as traditional/neo-traditional before, so if every wannabe apprentice out there is doing this style at the moment, what makes me different sad.gif
I also dont understand comments regarding it as an easy route into the industry, although i now find the style i have, the easiest to draw in, before i developed my own style which is still developing, I found traditional,neo-trad a difficult style to draw.
hope this makes sense, i dont wanna post where i saw the topic on the web, cos i dont name drop lol
anyone got any views on this?
