Just got my copy today and checked it out...... friggin' awesome!!!
Although he uses neuma machines he says he uses the same techniques with coil machines as well. Goes over everything from stencils to white highlights, including needle configs, inks, psi settings, and more. I'm too tired to write up a full review but will if I get time over the next couple of days. Highly recommended, although it ended up costing a pretty penny in AU dollars after the currency conversion!! -------------------- "You have enemies? Good. Most of the DVDs I have watched always seem to drag on. The Carlson's are decent, but the Tony stevens are out of date and of corse the spaldings are a joke. But I am always willing to give any a watch, gona have to have a look at this one as well.

True, but I have to say the carlton ones (or at least the one I have) is a bit too advance for me.

I have all the Gnomon Workshop Tattoo DVD's and the Dean Deakyne ones are great for beginners. All 3 of them basically tell you the same information, even using some of the same footage!! The difference is in one he tattoos a fake skin, another he does a black & Grey piece and a colour tattoo in the 3rd DVD. Out of the three I would get the Colour Tattooing one as it is 2 DVD's and gives a little more info than the other 2.
The Carlton DVD's are great, as is the first Brandon Bond one.... the second Bond DVD aint that good. I recommend Nate Beavers DVD's as well. I have both Nate Does Kat Von D and Tres Calaveras...both are a great watch! -------------------- "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life."

But seriously, that digital download method. Is there a menu system, chapters etc? Or is it just one long video file. The digital copy is $99.00 USD and is broken into sections like chapters, and If you have good converting and burning software you can do it however you want... Message me if you need any help. I just downloaded the Nikko H DVD via digital download. Aside from just the principles of portraiture, I got it because my understanding of colour blends needs improving....from seeing the sample clip, I'm hoping it's gonna help with that. Check out the free clip if you're unsure about downloading it....

The Birthday Goblin delivered this for my birthday. I like the way he marks out the values on the stencil, very cool.
