One of my husband's workmates got a tattoo from these people the day before yesterday. Apparently they dressed it with some kind of spray-on plastic.... wtf?! Does this mean anything to anyone?

Looks like a pretty cool style. Well .... We all know of a guy who used that spray when he almost cut his finger off
. Seems like it would be fine on a skin abraision. Lol!!
I may have to give it a try.....hmmm.....wonder if you put your A&D on before you spray it? lol!!....

Never seen a spray on product but have used Tatuderm personally with excellant results. Joshua Carlton used the Tatuderm on the Lennon piece he did on me. I was advised to leave the "film" on for at least 4-5days, after which I peeled it off in the shower. When I removed it the tattoo was healed, with the exception of one small spot which had a thin scab. Carlton had been selling the product at his booth and during the time I was being worked on, several other artist came up to get some. It takes the idiot factor out of the healing process. You leave the Tatuderm on for a specified amount of time and remove it, reaply after washing if needed (it was not in my case). Anyone whom does tattoos knows how frustrating it is to give a easy list of aftercare instructions, only to have the client return a week later wondering why their tattoo which has 1/2 an inch of vaseline on it is scabbed. I have wanted to pick up some of the product and try it out at the shop but keep forgetting when I do my orders. Since I am on the subject, I will go ahead and get some while I am thinking about it. If you want to take a gander, the website it can be purchased at is Tatuderm.com
