not really too funny,it woulda been better if ya showed a time jump showin the guy owning his own shop and people lined up out the door waiting to get stick figures on em,then i think a shot of the other shop with the guy waving to him smiling from across the street where he has laid claim as his competition, that woulda been a lil more funny

i know this is off subject but i had a scit thought out a long time ago for maybe saturday nite live kinda thing, office full of people all shootin the shit and gettin along, and in walks a dude, everyone in the group starts moaning,oh this guy christ he's an idiot, everyone adding their 2 cents and agreeing, the guy then sits down and starts doing some incredible stuff like saving the company millions of dollars, making his own computer programs that do more than they already have and then making energy from water or some kinda genous idea and everytime he shows these flashes of brilliance every one knocks him sayin, jeez man can't ya just do your job right,or wasting company time again on another stupid idea, and really down on the dude,at the end maybe saving some chick from choking or doing some major medical feat that saves the life of anuther co-worker and after everyone giving him shit cus he didn't do it fast enuff or somethin, then having a maintenance dude walk up sweeping the floor that looks like einstien saying,i would listen to them,if it weren't for them i woulda wasted my life on stupid ideas and not have this stable job

well i'll tell u this, a lot of artist dont even want to draw, even if they're good. They try to always take the easy way out and run to google images. I have a few at the shop where I work. Theyre great artists but when someone brings an idea to them, they run to google, to see if they can get something resembling, instead of drawing the shit up like the old days and seeing if the person likes it. Lazy fuckers=) a lot of yelling at the shop this

Great thread! And something that hits home for me too. To get a foot in the door of the tattoo industry i worked for a tattoo studio for 8 months as there Artist! All i did was draw custom designs for the 3 tattooists that worked in the shop. They said they had no time to draw which seemed true, i think in all honesty though that i was alot better drawer than any of em and i was cheap enough to do the dirty work.
Now im tattooing and draw all my own designs, i use any and every reference available. I believe in references, the more i can understand my clients taste the better! I say this line alot "I can draw what you want a thousand different ways, 500 of them ways you'll hate" so for me i like to see pics of what the client likes. Basically i use the reference pics to help me draw what i need and keep the amount of drawing to a minimum. |

but isnt that what its about posting work that needs critique?? so as to improve. i think a more important question is 'should i really be marking this person with permanent crap because i'm tattooing way before i am ready to be?" show some respect for your "clients" they are people not "scratch" paper. |
