Hay guys here is some roes's i have drawn can you help me out with my shading? I need to know if there is to much to little or it looks stupid where it is lol

i think if you are trying to do and old school kind of style you need much more black... get alot more depth in there

i dont think he was going for that oldskool look. dont like like trad roses.
maybe try some color shading. add different colors for a more realistic shadow/volume/etc. different shades and opposite colors go well with that... makes it stand out alot This post has been edited by Moon: Mar 29 2009, 11:40 AM -------------------- |

traditional roses (and all tradish stuff) require bold black with short whipped gradients. Don't be afraid of the black.

i would work on your values more...try shading with only your blacks and greys for a few roses, then add your colors. they look a little flat and black shading will add depth, whether or not your trying to do traditional.

thanks guys i done more i added a load more black and thay look loads better, i done some with just coulor and thay look good to thanks again guys
