Hi all,
You may read this and think....... Have a go yourself you cheeky t**t!

If that is your reaction to this post, then save yourself time, and dont press the reply button. biggrin.gif

Here is the help required. I have tried to get a really good set of scales on my dragon, but just cannot make it work. I am not looking for a complete set, but more of a "show a few, miss afew" sort of effect. I dont want it to look really bold and full of outline if you know what i am meaning.
Here is the image, and if you cant help me, but like the image, feel free to use it!

I have read the post regarding scales, before anyone jumps to the "use search" answer.

Anyone wishing to help, thankyou, and your help is very much appreciated.

Don't do the 'sommar-here, sommar-there' scale thing. It always look cheap and lazy to my eyes.

If you don't wanna get fancy-fancy with yer scales, just shade it black and fade it to a color, you know what I mean? Start on the back, where the spines are, and shade toward the belly. Then color (if desired) from the belly to the black fade-out. You could add a couple of black spots here and there to give it a textured look without having to give it 'scales.'

Does that make any sense? Maybe I need to bust out the ol' PS to explain it?
