I recently found a rare coin/token used (as far as i know) for travelling on the Red Arrow Lines trolleys in Philadelphia many decades ago. I'm using it as a washer on a new machine and i wonder if these are valuable or not? maybe i'm gonna sell a valuable item without knowing? anyone here knows them? i could post a pic if you want...

i did search on ebay but found nothing.... i haven't found any image or anything of the coin, nowhere. that's what made me curious... i already drilled the coin and it's part of the machine now, so if it had any value, it's damaged now anyway... i'll post a picture of the machine when it's finished.

I just bought some WW2 vintage french coins....the nazis conveniently drilled out the centre of the coins in circulation in france during their occupation....why?I dont know. But it makes less work for me to use them as machine washers

Here is a picture of the coin (and the machine). I like it so much because it is not solid round, it has 2 holes...
I'll put the machine for sale on the marketplace subforum as soon as i finish some work on it..

finding out the true value of old coins /notes is a fookin nightmare, thats if they are genuinely from that time.. this stuff is easy to copy as they were pretty basic back in the day. i have what could potentially be 10 grands worth of confederate ( civial war ) notes but finding an unscrupulous dealer who will not try and fuk me over is proving harder than i first expected.

According to the Red Arrow Lines nostalgia website the token, if in good condition is worth between $1500-$1850, they were made for a short period of time and are very collectable....But with a hole in them they are worth as much as a washer.........

its a bloody coin - it looks much better on the side of that machine than it would look in some boffins coin folder filed away in his boffins coin collection file-o-fax - and it serves a much better purpous now than it was ever intended for :-D
