> This site is no substitute for a formal apprenticeship

This site is not a substitute for a professional apprenticeship with a licensed tattoo studio. Nor is this site a definitive source for learning the art or trade of tattooing. An apprenticeship is the ONLY universally accepted way to learn proper safety practices and sound technique.

While we welcome members of all levels, we STRONGLY advocate staying away from skin until you've received formal training from someone who works in the field. Hell, even hair stylists must complete over a year of courses, pass a state health board exam, and apprentice under a professional studio before earning a chair.

The trade of tattooing has a rich history and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you respect the art, please show your respects by learning the right way.

Sell good quality springs, pretty cheap and fast delivery. Good choice in spring gauges, and various different styles.

I totally agree with you on them.Their springs are real good, and i like the fact that they put them in a baggie marked with the size so you know which is which. They have great customer service, and the last time i ordered from them i got my package all the way from the u.k. to the states in 4 days.

Initialy i used Superior. Shipping was excellent, I only waited 8 days for international shipping. Talked to them on the phone a few times and they were good. Good prices on med supplies and general stores, machines are very hit and miss though (one machine runs awesome, one doesn't, the third can't hold it's tune), as is the ink.....
Now I go to an Aussie supplier, Oztatz. Good prices on everything biggrin.gif

I've been using Tommy's. Some of their items can be had for cheaper but I've had great experience with their customer service. They always send me free stuff too. Last time they sent me the complete line of Amazon tattoo/piercing aftercare products, a t shirt, pocket knife and a beer can cozy.

I just used elementtattoosupply.com got a kit for $180 free shipping. Two machines with sailor jerry pinups.
digital power supply just throw the inks unless your using them on pigskin etc....
I was actually surprised on the quality, used machine today on a client and is now my favorite machine since my first one which was a superior wasp.
runs like butter.... i was also surprised to see the size of the machines were actually quite compact, which is very comfortable.
definitely worth what I paid.
As for disposables, needles etc... I use wwta2.com (worldwide tattoo supply)
cheapest I found so far after the $10 membership.

Great thread guys.
I just got my first order from http://www.painfulpleasures.com/.
Good range of products, particularly Inks. got my "ONE" and some MOM'S. Great prices, friendly service and super fast shipping. Ordered on Tuesday, Delivered to my door in Australia the following Monday. I will happily deal with them again.

Have been using http://internationaltattoosupply.com for a while now and always get a good deal and fairly quick delivery. Love their machines, great value for money and not just for beginners. Know a few pros using them and they are very happy with them. Stay away from their Inks. Got my "rr" Kurro Summi from them and other inks have been suspect. They also have a good range of needles at reasonable prices.

Have used Huck Spaulding and they're OK. Delivery is slow and I'm sure I was overcharged for postage on my last order. Don't think I'll use them again.

Of the Ebay suppliers I have had good dealings with are:
http://stores.ebay.com.au/Precision-Ink-Tattoo-Supply
http://stores.ebay.com.au/WorldWide-Tattoo-Supply-USA
http://stores.ebay.com.au/Tattoo-guy-Supplies
http://stores.ebay.com.au/tattoo-wholesale Reliable Chinese Needle Supplier
In OZ, all good, friendly quick service but a bit overpriced, mainly on Inks, OK on some other stuff.
http://stores.ebay.com.au/AAA-Tattoos-Quality-Tattoo-Supply
http://stores.ebay.com.au/tatt2guru
http://stores.ebay.com.au/TATTOO-AUSTRALIA

I've checked out some other suppliers both Worldwide and Local but not had any direct dealings with them.
Anyhow, just a few of my experiences, hope they help.

We recently ordered some piercing supplies from a company called Ace Body Art Supply... we like to try new companies for the general stuff to see which companies have the best quality, selection, etc... After 2 weeks I was frustrated because our shipment still had not been received I contacted the company about my frustration to which he responded with a link to their website where it talks about shipping taking a decent more time than necessary... so still frustrated i felt a little dumb cause i didn't see it but oh well... chalk it up to lesson learned... well yesterday when the mail came i received a card stating that they would be having a package to deliver to me but that there was postage due on it... so now i am expected to pay an additional fee to get the piercing stuff i have already paid shipping and handling for. I was PISSED... so i went to the website to find out how to contact them... it was then that i noticed there is no place on the website that you can access that talks about the shipping and when you would receive it... so basically he created the link and everything it said when he sent it to me... he also told me i had unrealistic expectations in when i would receive my order... I would say my unrealistic expectations were in expecting the same kind of service and quality from this company in comparison to others... so as a note if you chose to use them that's your decision... but you have been forewarned!!!

Not sure how many of you also do piercing... but was recently recommended a company called Metal Mafia... they have some really cool jewelry, AND they have GREAT prices... I'm not sure if you have to be referred to them or how it goes... when i told them I was referred they asked for all the other people's info too... so if anyone decides to use them tell them you were referred by Double-0 Ink at 731 Hwy 211, Suite A, Winder, Ga 30680... we requested a catalog and they sent it very quickly along with some samples of their Jewelry for quality purposes... Highly reccomend!! biggrin.gif
