This site is not a substitute for a professional apprenticeship with a licensed tattoo studio. Nor is this site a definitive source for learning the art or trade of tattooing. An apprenticeship is the ONLY universally accepted way to learn proper safety practices and sound technique.
While we welcome members of all levels, we STRONGLY advocate staying away from skin until you've received formal training from someone who works in the field. Hell, even hair stylists must complete over a year of courses, pass a state health board exam, and apprentice under a professional studio before earning a chair.
The trade of tattooing has a rich history and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you respect the art, please show your respects by learning the right way.

I think we need a sticky of recommended tattoo equipment suppliers in the "The Apprentice" - Q & A Corner » Equipment: Machines, Power Supplies, etc... section of the forum. I know i always question if a company comes through on what they promise and it would really help everyone out. I know i dont order from a company unless i see others recommending it, because if yall have ever did a search for tattoo equipment it brings up alot of results and you never know if they have quality stuff and if they stand behind what they sell. hay man i get most of my stuff from world wide tattoos thay are really good everything is on time and thay give you over what you order sometimes |

Hi everybody I'm new here, I bought an element tattoo kit and I was pleased with the kit (excluding machine) and I want to buy a new shader first then a liner. I eventually want to by a Fowler or a sharpz, but for now I want a good affordable machine.
Ive been looking at the fallowing machines but i don't want to get stuck with a crappy machine. Has anyone used one of the fallowing machines or have any recommendations. 1. "J Frame Tattoo Machine Liner & Shader" from InkCraft.biz for 109.99 (two machines) 2. "Hildbrandt .22 Rimfire" from tattoomachineequipment.com/ for 49.99(one machine) 3. "IRON NEW DIAL" from internationaltattoosupply.com for 50.00 (one machine) What do you guys think, Thanks Also are the tatwax tattoo machines any good from cam tattoo supply |

I cant believe nobody has mentioned bicknee supply, http://www.bicknee.com/ . Superfast shipping via fedex, everything there is obviously great quality. The ink selection is what got me. Eternal, Intenze, Phatcat, and the full line of alla prima & multiple others. No proof of shop needed.
