i would think that anyone considering a business venture of any sort should already be familiar with spreadsheets, excel, quicken, microsoft office, and POS software. if youdont know how to keep books, hire an accountant. sounds like a waste of money to me.

Very interesting... I like the fact that you can post pictures... You could probably do something similar with an office suite or C++t. This is definately for a busy professional shop. I did not find a price but it looks as if they send you the hardware as well.

if you're the least bit computer savvy...take a couple of classes in Ms. Access, or grab a couple of books, and you'll be able to setup a very similiar database..

For what it is, seems pricey. It's actually a very very simple application. I built a full-fledged POS system for a small local restaurant a couple years ago that did a little more for less. Not sure what they charge for the hardware, but just the software prices a la carte seem expensive? I'm not gonna hate on them though, if they are getting it then thats good and I may be wrong. Great idea though.

I'm a computer geek that used a PC with windows and linux for 16-17yrs. I repaired PCs professionally for many years, too (and i still do, occasionally.) I moved to a mac over a year and a half ago and i love it. I too have never looked back. my macbook pro (laptop) is the fastest computer i've owned. (btw, a freeware alternative to vmware is Sun's VirtualBox.) -------------------- -Nev.
