This site is not a substitute for a professional apprenticeship with a licensed tattoo studio. Nor is this site a definitive source for learning the art or trade of tattooing. An apprenticeship is the ONLY universally accepted way to learn proper safety practices and sound technique.
While we welcome members of all levels, we STRONGLY advocate staying away from skin until you've received formal training from someone who works in the field. Hell, even hair stylists must complete over a year of courses, pass a state health board exam, and apprentice under a professional studio before earning a chair.
The trade of tattooing has a rich history and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you respect the art, please show your respects by learning the right way.

Well since im still a beginner, just training on Fruits and pig skin i still have alot to learn untill i would dare go on real skin! so...
1. I have allways used Disposable Tubes, with grip tip and needle in 1 package, easyest to start with!, so i was about to order some Mags since they seem to be used alot( i have only Rounds and Flats ) so when i checked the shop where i buy everything " http://www.tattoomaailma.com " they didnt have Mags in tubes grips n tips , so now im wondering what sizes everything has to be to fit! so does this http://www.tattoomaailma.com/PublishedServ...emcode=bgrip7fw , a Flat 7 Grip with the tube n tip fit with Mag 7 needles ? its kinda confusing to learn all theese :S 2. When ure in middle of a tattoo and have to change color, while still use:ing the same needle size, how do u wash of the old color you used before ? or do u change the needle, tip, and tube `? or do you just wash it off somehow ? 3. How often do you change the O-Rings, and the Springs ? or bend the springs back to original ? 4. When you tattoo, and want for example from Shadow to red, do you mix red and black, to get the different tones ? or do you tattoo with red and then some graywash or black over the red to make it look like its darker in the area ? or do you allways have to keep ure different colors separated!? 5. Where is it best to use flat needles ? got some flat7 and flat11 . Sorry if there are allredy topics for theese but i just couldnt find them, have mercy im atleast a full memeber =X For all answear is Thank you! |
