oh no - whereas you gotta give it to the guy, he had the right idea! specially going off todays government - shame someone doesnt try again if you ask me but personally i think guye fawkes night has lost what it is about - nowadays its just an excuse for the youth to go buying fireworks irresponsibly and causing as much trouble as they can with them - its great to see a good display if you go somewhere - you cant beat a good BBQ a can of guiness and a good firework show, but i think it shoule remain as that rather than sell fireworks to the general public to cause annoyance - i hate bonfire night not just the fireworks but its an excuse for everyman and his dog to burn all there crap - its the firefighters i feel sorry for - specially when they get called out cos a set of ferral youths lit a fire so they could attack firemen - thats just plain wrong

That's why we burn a "Guy". It's not anti-government and it wasn't even Guy's idea cool night though. will be the first time I've been to a bonfire in this country for a couple of years -------------------- ... -.-. .-. . .-- / -.-- --- ..- / --. ..- -.-- ... / .. .----. -- / --. --- .. -. --. / .... --- -- .

thought the intended plan was to blow up the houses of parliment whilst they were all in there - not just the king?
still its not like none of that matters anymore anyway is it - most just see it as either an excuse to get rat arsed or cause trouble just like halloween and dont even get me started on christmas lmfao -------------------- Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian

Wasnt it about killing protestants? I think they were caught because they had warned catholic members about their plan and news leaked. Could be wrong though. He paid a heavy price though, tortured, then hung drawn and quartered. Only a first offence too, firm but fair back then.

Fuk, nowadays MP's are doing enough damage without Gunpowder.......and lets face it, if Guy got caught today he would get a community service order and an ASBO.
