I asked for feedback on names and hardly anyone offered anything worthwhile. Give me some ideas and I'll consider it. Otherwise, deal.

names are names, they are not what you are about or who you really are. hell, even when your in a shop you can still be called a scratcher because of some idiot hating on you and your shop.
the sooner you grow that rhino skin, the better you can move on. and don't just post in order to get away from the name on the left, i may not ever reach whatever the final name goal is but i can bet that most if not 99% of my post will have validity and merit. el |

I personally have no problem with any of the member titles. Especially scratcher (obviously). It's like using the "N" word. Get your ass kicked if you're white but it's ok if you're black. So fuck it. I'm a scratcher and don't really five a shit what anyone else thinks about me or what I do.

The problem is that the word scratcher is used to demean rookies who have no interest in learning how to tattoo properly. It's also a term now used by a lot of (ahem!) "pro's" for anyone who has not gone thorough an apprenticeship (although, truth be known most of them haven't either!!).
You have to realise that there is a lot of traffic by other people that come through this forum & when they see, say Gettatattoo, forgiven or Mark101 labelled as a scratcher, you can understand why they would maybe have issues with it. This is why I suggested that the titles should be post count based, as there is no way people like myself can compare to these people yet. Most people look at these titles & assume that the higher the rating the more experienced you are. I know that the titles were meant as tongue in cheek, but I can see these guys points, but like Jason said come up with some other ideas. -------------------- "In this truck is a man whose latent genius, if unleashed, would rock the nation, whose dynamic energy would overpower those around him. I like "Needle Prick" and borrowed a couple suggestions. I removed "Scratcher" as I agree, if someone visiting the site saw that it could be construed as demeaning and might give respected artists pause when thinking about joining the forum. Here they are. Please give me feedback.
Title - Min. Posts - Stars Shop Groupie 0 * Needle Prick 50 ** Pin Cushion 100 *** Human Billboard 500 **** Kitchen Magician 1,000 ***** Salty Old Sailor 5,000 ****** The Reincarnate of Charlie Wagner 10,000 ******* -------------------- Stay humble.
