1. You should ONLY use
Paypal (or similar services) when sending payment to anyone online (no checks, money orders, wire-transfers, cash). Services like this offer fraud protection and can help you take action and recover lost money. If they don't have a Paypal account set-up, don't buy from them. If you don't have one set-up, get on it.
2. Require that items are shipped via
FedEx/UPS as they issue tracking numbers and signature confirmation to ensure the package was shipped and received. You can also opt for C.O.D (cash on delivery) to help prevent fraud.
3. Research and ask if other members have has favorable transactions with the person you are buying from. If the member has not conducted any transactions with any other members, ask them if they have an eBay account that shows positive feedback.
4. Use your gut! If something doesn't seem right, let someone else test the waters before jumping in.

All sellers MUST include the expected delivery time, delivery method (USPS, FEDEX, UPS) and return policy (you can say "
as is" or "
no returns" if you like) but you MUST include your polciies in your post.
