It was said on London ink that they would not take on an apprentice if they had tattoo'd at home (cant condone scrtachers ) but in the next episode they had a boxer (Ricky Hatton) tattooing the lass out of the program now that seems a bit hypocritical to me lol. Is it cos it makes good tv and their ethics dont matter anymore, surely it would be better to take the scratcher that has promise and work on them and not somebody that is an artschool student with very little in the way of tattoo's or knowledge themselves. I was a mechanic for 20 years now should I not take on an apprentice because he's worked on his mates cars before ( sunday mecanic lol) What do you guy's think, just an obsevation cheers Wobblegob

i think louie is a COCK.. how they can say he is 1 of the countries top tattooists is beyond me... hes a prick, if i was Dan i would have knocked him out by now..

louie is FULLY self taught, he started the studio after tattooing once or twice at home and he's still at the same place today

i think cause its drab...the studio is lifeless the artists are boring and the location is grey and gloomy, no beach no sun and no life.............

I thought it was bad he let ricky hatton tattoo that girl. never mind she's a dick anyway.
and he was saying to ricky (in his annoying accent) go on mate it's easy,honestly. I think he was being serious too! For some one who is 'tattoist to the stars' he seemed to act pretty goofy around ricky too, constantly posing and making stupid boxing gags. as for London Ink not going down well in the USA as it wasn't as sunny, beachy and glamorous as Miami/LA ink...
If The USA ink shows stopped showing sob stories and the guys going out to various hobbies and events and it rained in Miami, and it just showed tattooing, it would be equally as bland to watch as London Ink.  Saying that I like London Ink, simply as I love most shows involving tattoos, (until they invited dead head Z list celebs on to get tatts! ) whatever these peoples personality traits are, they are still in a position most 'learners' want to be in. As for a pro telling someone tattooing is 'easy' ..well that's a bit of a interesting statement ! if its easy, why are there so many crap tattoos around? :-) I only met them briefly but all of them seemed like nice people. i think people can come across pretty badly on tv ;-) -------------------- ..Damn it...

Not slagging the show as I prefer it to the others on a tattoo basis (ie not the sob stories, what they had for breakfast etc) just the two faced ethics on there.
