I started out on this journey about 4 Months ago, my intention was to build or convert a shed/garage in which it was legal and certified to do tattooing. Each and every Borough, County and Country has their own Rules and Regulations, I live in Central Scotland ( jist ootside Glesga) so this is what I had to do.
Buy a Static Caravan, knock down a wall, seal up a door, put in a sink with Hot and Cold running water in the treatment room, and that was that. Oh, nearly forgot, have a certificate for the safe uplift of waste material, and supplies, I needed a spec sheet on inks without an expiry date, a med certificate to show completion of a Day 1 course, proof of insurance, a separate waiting room with signs up 24/7( so bang goes using a spare room in your house), risk assessments on both areas and have knowledge in safe procedure, as well as a safe working practise. There thats all apart from the obvious, electric compliance certificates, slip and trip hazards pointed out etc etc. All this would NOT have been possible without help from the Enviro People, you MUST consult them if you have any intention of doing somethin similiar, quote from the Enviro Guy " we aren't trying to stop anyone from starting up, we just want to stop anyone who doesn't know what they are doing" you can't argue with that, anyone want any specific details or questions drop me a pm, I will be only to happy to help, .....would I do it all again, of course I would, I was totally stoked today when I was told that, there was no problems here and to apply for my license, peace out,P. ![]() ![]()

nice one dude. look good. and much cleaner and bigger than some shops I've been in recently! lol Johnny, many thanks and you ain't wrong, don't matter where you go horror stories everywhere. I wonder if removing the secrecy, to some extent, of tattoos in general has opened the appeal to people who would otherwise have stayed clear, ie Teachers, Lawyers, Civil servents etc etc. -------------------- C'MON THE HOOPS IN 2010,
