hey guys,im back after a long break from ink trails(and tattooing in general!) glad to see how far the site has come, last time i looked there was around 300 members!i had a rather random and probably impossible idea. i thought 'how cool would it be to actually meet the members of ink trails' and have a sort of meeting/convention of people from ink trails where you would be able to exchance ideas, flash, maybe have some tutorials and music and have a beer. obviously i dont think it would be a good idea to actually be tattooing(unless you have pro artists...mark!?) but i think it would amazing to meet and maybe have a 'flash exchange' or something where people exchance flash designs/art instead of tattoos!probably never happen but hey i thought it was a nice idea...

There has been talk and some people in various continents have tentative plans. However, based on the response for t-shirts I doubt I would ever invest the time/money on a venue and travel for something of this kind. It'd be fun though!

why not a irc chatroom on like efnet? Because then everyone will just go to the chatroom to ask questions, rather than posting in the forums, which allows everyone to benefit from their questions when they get answered. Plus, you dont know that its not just some boner giving you the answer, or some "anti-scratcher" revolutionary whos trying to prove something, (and weve had our share of those here)...so a new artist may end up going and diluting his graywash with vinegar and taco bell hot sauce. So then the only remedy is, ok have a chat-room, but no technical questions on tattooing, but you can do that anywhere.... see the delima? |

dont have to make it public knowledge, can even make it password only and only give it to lifetime members. be a way for the regulars to make fun of eachother and all. all tech questions would still be made here.

its a little unrealistic to imagine that people will jump on a plane and travel thousands of miles, for the love of the forum ;-)
nice idea though... when they invent the 'matter transfer' pod.. that makes us disappear from one place and appear in the other instantly.. then i'm in ;-) -------------------- ..Damn it...

HOW BOUT THIS IDEA...we that choose to participate
can make a thread with our yahoo or aim or msn names and do 1 private room where JSUN would be the moderator and it would be invite only.... that way we know it would be members only...???? chuck -------------------- SOMETIMES WHAT YOU LEARN...CONFLICTS WITH WHAT YOU KNOW ADD ME FOR MAFIA WARS |

its a little unrealistic to imagine that people will jump on a plane and travel thousands of miles, for the love of the forum ;-) nice idea though... Oh I don't know. In one pet lovers forum I belong to. We did just that. We planned it all for a weekend and had about 95% of members make it. We all arived on a friday stayed at this motel with a bar and had a whale of a time. that Sat. We went to this wildlife sanctuary that one of the members runs. Most drove, quite a few flew in and one flew in all the way from England!!! This post has been edited by John_Olexa: Apr 19 2008, 06:59 PM -------------------- What Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey
