They can be a bit hit and miss with regards to the readings.
If your lucky you can get one that works. I´ve got one as back up and I´ve got an ems 300, the difference between the readings is I think about 0,5 so in theory you could use it to tune your machines. -------------------- |

I've had 2 of them and never really had problems with either of them, other than one of them very occasionally would not show the numbers for a few seconds it would just show 0.00 for all readings, then after about 15-20 seconds they would pick back up and show again, but like i said that only happened every once in a while.

The numbers really wont help to much in tuning, since all machines run a little different from each other,i have tried tuning a few machines to the reccomended numbers and they did'nt run very well, they liked a different set of readings better haha. The numbers do come in handy to get a general starting point, and once you get the machine where you want write down the numbers to help re-tune it later.

I ordered one 2 months ago but it arrived with a broken on/off switch so I'm still waiting for a replacement. But it looks
and feels a bit cheap (can't say how it's running though since... it's broken) I have in the shop ems-250 and cx-2 and can whole-heartedly recommend both. Ems-250 doesn't work with rotaries though in case that is important. (which is the reason why I had to order the cx-2) |
