This walked into my shop today wanting to get a cover up. The stars were totally distorted by the stretch marks, but she said they didn't look much better when she originally had them done. It was done by a scratcher who thought he was ready to tattoo live skin. They are uneven, out of proportion and show old blowouts pretty much all the way around.

I told her I'd try to come up with a nice design to hide the stars and the majority of stretch marks.

Point being ...... if your new to the game........ DON'T TATTOO LIVE SKIN WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING AND SUPERVISION

I have. I know a guy down the road that got a kit off of eBay and started tattooing the next day. Talk about some rough stuff. He brought his machines by one day wanting to know if I could tune them. He said they were not drawing right..lol

I did look at them for about 2 mins and I said where did you get these. That's when he said that he got them on eBay for 50 bucks free shipping from china. He got 4 machines and some tubes, needles, and some ink etc. Talk about junk.
My mouth fell open when he was eyeballing one of my liners and said, "How much did that GUN ohmy.gif cost"? I said that particular Machine cost $250. Then his mouth fell open!!! Followed by what you mean by machine. Anyway after we talked for a couple of hours he has not tattooed any more. In fact he left and forgot his kit here. It is still collecting dust.

im guessing this was the result of prgnancy? the starts were obviously there before and as she has ballooned up the stretchmarks have distorted the image - leaving them looking like this now her belly is flattened again - my personal opinion is she is partly to blame for allowing somebody to tattoo her in that area and been ignorant of the fact that pregnancies will kill a tattoo

Yeah that's what I was guessing....
Possibly the most baffling part to me is that the hearts are placed to the left of both stars... ie asymmetrically

The hearts are sharpies.... she was trying to show me what she THOUGHT she wanted.

I told her otherwise ....lol

Yes, the stretch marks are the result of pregnancy.

The bad tattoos are the result of a scratcher with an ebay license to tattoo.

that tatoo was def disoriented like that because of her pregnancy .. i have seen a few like this where fa flower turns into a flower field and fish turns into a whale ... this is def caused by pregnany it actually looks like a somewhat ok tattoo to begin with judging by the botton right point on the left star ...
i dunno if ur intent was to say a scratcher fucked this girl up because a scratcher def did not her having a baby def did ...

im not saying some people mess up others i can google a good amount of fucked up tats but this particular 1 is not because of a scratcher ..

the pregnancy didn't fuck up the tattoo.... the stretch marks distorted the tattoos that the scratcher FUCKED UP.

I've seen several women who had tattoos prior to getting pregnant that still look good after pregnancy. Not all women get stretch marks.

The scratcher definately fucked this girl up.... the stretch marks just distorted the assholes work.

There is not one thing OK about this.

The tattoo was probly pretty bad to begin with but all the distortion was def caused by the pregnancy, not defending his work at all as we have no way of knowing how bad it was before. Not all women get stretch marks but just about all of them that are that small do.

I would like to see the cover up though. Whatcha planin on doing with it anyway? Its gonna have to be huge to cover all those stretch marks, and as small as she is no matter what you do, if she gets pregnant again its gonna be fucked and way harder to fix a second time.

My advice to her being so young (im guessin 18-22?) would have to be to wait to fix this until she is older and done having kids..........like tubes tied done. Otherwise even a great cover up with an awesome design could very well turn into an even worse tattoo.

If she insists on getting them fixed now I would go as minimal as possible, just enough to cover whats there and leave the stretch marks alone for now, just make it a design that can be expanded upon later

just my .02 though

Agreed.... I did advise her that even if I covered the tattoos and stretch marks, it would most likely happen again if she decides to have more kids and she has opted to wait. I think it was more of a money issue.

As far as the original tattoos... they were bad bad!!!
