hey guy just like the title said, i need help coming up with something to cover this heinous rose tattoo, she wants something girly and just in passing i mentioned maybe a fairy and now she is stuck on the idea of a fairy, can anyone think of anything else she may like, shes 29 and doesn't really dig the new school or oldschool style, still stuck in the 90s. the next one is a tattoo idea for a friend he said he wanted a dutch lion on a rugged patch looking like its sewn on his back, so far it looks ok but i think it could use some work and last is a paper trails cover i sketched up quickly at work but didn't think it was good enough for the contest, i think the rose is a pretty cool concept if i do say so myself, (its supposed to look like its made of scroll), let me know what you guys think, any help would be appreciated greatly

i like the banner rose thing .. and the patch is weel done and will def be a very very very difficult tattoo ...
well i had a million ideas until i read fairy ... shes stuck on that shes not gunna move .. personally i think u messed up by saying that cuz most faried are light colors that def wont go over that .... what i would do is do a big oldschool rose a few leafs and shit and a few oldschool dragonflies 2 or so and maybe 1 butterfly aswell .. tell her look a farie wont cover that but i had a great idea and show her ur artwork that i just talked about and most likley she will say cool lets change this and change this and thats it ... and u can work with that remember its a cover up what u say gose ... if u dont think it will look good dont do it ... -------------------- www.inkedbythenerd.com swallowsndaggers tattoo forum Swallows and Daggers Support The Traditional Movement Tattoo Artist, Painter, Asshole and Machine Collector |

If you are gonna do a fairy, do it big, and to the right of that rose.
For the rose, do a big mushroom, or some kind of fictional purple flower. Maybe a whole garden of weird flowers to help distract the eye from noticing any of that rose. Only issue is that whatever you do, it's going to be twice the size of the tattoo she has now. Also, you could skip the fairy and just do a garden scene with butterflies, crazy flowers, leaves, stalks, caterpillars, dragonflies, etc. Enough bright green pumped into that rose, and it'll hide pretty well. -------------------- |

like the rose n banner........agreed that badge would be a bitch to tatto.....i did the west ham united badge on piggie and it was a nightmare

thanks guys, if the patch takes me as long as it did to pencil it should only take me 4 hours :S yeah right. the girl with the rose called in today after taking home a tracing of her rose and her fairy picture and decided its not going to work so shes come up with the brilliant idea of redoing the rose and putting a little fairy on top! yay me. neways thanks for the kudos on the rose banner thing. I still dont think it looks right it could be better somehow but i cant put my finger on it, maybe ill re-shade it.
