Alright well ive got a builder doing a custom machine as of now he wants to stay anonymous at the moment but hes a known builder here in the trails so here we have it.
thanx to barnstormer we have a title of "PAPER TRAILS" and we need a cover designed it can be a full page colored image it can be a simple sketch with text whatever u feel fits the bill heres the rules and what im looking for - Paper trails written on the cover - Original Art ONLY - Each member may submit only ONE entry - Pencil, Pen, Ink, Crayon, Paints, watercolor etc... - NO Digital or Photoshop (unless your cropping or making it a smaller size) - Art must be "Tattooable." - Nothing you drew a month ago is allowed, must be Original/New stuff - Contest ends October 31st at Midnight Hawaii Time ( thats 1 am Pacific ) Winner will be selected by the following: A Poll for the forum members will be worth - 1 vote Machine Builder will be awarded - 1 vote and I will be awarded - 1 vote ( if i decide to enter a cover i will forfiet my vote ) Original artwork from the winner must be sent to me for scanning or photographing, then it will be sent to the machine builder so he can have the original cover to the book. almost everyone on the list has let me know they will be submitting ... so im on track with that and ive had a few more submit me stuff aswell some will be in it .. some wont but just from what im getting together from myself and from what ive seen here if people are putting out quality line drawlings like they are artwork here and in artclass .. this sketchbook will be just as good and if not better than some of the major sketchbooks out at the moment

Just curious but what happens if you pick a winner of this comp, they get awarded a machine and then you dont get enough art to make an actual book, now what? Im just wondering for all I know you could be getting emailed tons of pieces daily, just curious.

if i didnt get enough pieces which i have already had a good amount i will fill the rest with my stuff until i have a solid sketchbook ...

Well it's tough going up against such strong competition, so I guess I'm appealing to the Detail Fetishist's vote
  It was tough having a Halloween deadline on this one, caused some friction, as it's pretty much me n wifey's annual night out...then again maybe I shouldn't have spent 2 hrs carving a sugar skull pumpkin as well. Must just be a glutton for punishment .

rushed. but finished.
no camera, no scanner. fuck. this is the best picture i could get  all that blending and subtle highlights for nothing  i guess if I get chosen I'd be willing to re-do it. on canvas with acrylic... colored pencils dont seem to be my weapon of choice

def solid work right thier ... barnstormer i love that crosshatchin my man ... i woulda liked to see a but of graff in it but like u said u were in for a punishment by the wifie so its all good i just love ur graff stuff ...

I love illustration, and barnstormer I like yours a lot! ...Maybe it's because I have a hangover from hell right now, but I'm finding the "Paper Trails" text quite hard to read.
Also I've noticed some people have included mention of Ink Trails on their design....didn't someone say somewhere that we shouldn't do that, for some reason or other? It's gonna be tough finding the balance between amazing pieces of artwork which should be in the book, and good pieces of graphic design appropriate for being on a book cover. Ow my head lol
