Interesting that you've just put this up, as I was about to ask if anyone remembers a link that someone posted (can't remember who, or where, was some time in the last 6 weeks) to a bunch of downloads of turn of the century books on old school penmanship/cursive script, gutted I didn't follow it up at the time and yes obviously I've used the search tool, to no avail. This is the foundation to most of the filligree script styles and if anyone can remember it it'd help us both out. I posted some links to some old school LA Chicano gang handstyle photos in this section which may be of use also.

Well I went away and just googled it, found it and was thinking I'd maybe been tripping on the whole thing of seeing it as a link here on the forum and I'd probs just found it before independently...regardless this is the one I was looking for and it really is the motherlode, i haven't downloaded yet, there's sooo many, (older than I remembered as well, some of these babies are like over 180 years old) I just had a browse thru a few... good shit

Lowrider Arte has alot of pics and they have them online, some good stuff. I use to get Teen Angels magazines when I was a kid. They have alot of pic's from all over in them, straight neighborhood shit. I think you can get copies of old books on ebay but not sure.

Look on EBAY for "Teen Angels" magazine and "Lowrider Arte"...they definitely got what your looking for.
Urban Ink is kinda dope but I wouldn't suggest that for what your looking for.
I would look at Mister Cartoon's, DJ Muggs,Estivan Oriel, and the Soul Assasains web sites as well...Now that I think about it..Lowrider probablly has one set aside for art to.

You can check out a guy named Maneko or xMANEKOx I like the letter he does but I don't think he has an actual book out like Boog, that I know of...

Unfortunately all the Googled sites he is showing up in, like MySpace and YouTube, are blocked at my work  sigh.

i think volume 3's the best outta the bunch. maybe not exactly the cholo bible you're looking for, but good.
