Back in 2007, we had no idea that the site would blossom into the amazing community it is today. I want to thank everyone who has contributed their knowledge and experience, and has taken an active role in making this site the place it is. I also want to personally thank all the Moderators, past and present, who continue to selflessly offer their time and energy to keep this place in top shape...You're the best!

Of the over 10,000 members, only around 1,000 are currently contributing members. That's only 10%. If you've been hanging around the free boards or just reading the plethora of free information we ask that you help keep the site growing by joining and becoming a contributing member TODAY! Membership options are very flexible and you can upgrade your account at any time by clicking Here (My Controls > Purchase Paid Membership).

We also ask that you support our advertisers with your continued patronage!

Thanks again to everyone and continued success in all your endeavors!

Cant you remove accounts that are dormant to keep the figures showing just regulars?
I know some of the various forums I am in remove accounts after 3 months of inactivity. Just send an email reminder first
then if no reply wipe them.

that would have thrown a few of us off,
I have only just gained access back to the site after moving to a country that had it blocked. (so I couldn't even change my contact email)
There's also a couple of people who have gone on a self imposed hiatus who's contributions have been invaluable,

I know what you're saying, but as for any site, you will always have the trollers and guys (and gals) who come and go

PS Congrats on hitting the 10K mark. It's not said enough, but thanks Jason

My month just ran out, changed to "lifetime membership" - cant afford not to, this site is a goldmine in knowledge, especially the "Members only" section!

Support the site with your membership, its deffently worth those stupid 20 bucks! smile.gif

Sorry for the impertinence, but I have to ask... I just join this forum and I love it already - so many people showing their work and receiving feedback and criticism!!!; I want that too- but to do so; to "show & tell" I've read I have to have a membership... a real one, not a free one like the one I have right now. To the point, yes... I want to know if there is another way to buy the membership -the life membership- besides using that damn P@y-pal. I hate it and don't have it, and I don't plan on getting an account on it. Besides; I don't have a credit card or such.... could a Money order work for the owner of the site? If so; could you please let me know? And if not... any other way available that isn't electronic? I'm just trying to help myself help the site with a small contribution. rolleyes.gif

To a charity? How does that work? Do you mean to donate to a charity website of your choice and you'll grant me full access to a membership?

Hey man; I'm trying to purchase the lifetime membership for the forum through Paypal, but it says it doesn't accept credit cards, only bank accounts.

Do you really only accept bank account transfers?

That sounds a little weird... blink.gif
When I purchased my lifetime
account (right off the bat biggrin.gif) paypal
accepted my plastic. If you have
never used paypal before and
you want to use your card I'm
pretty sure your bank account
has to be "confirmed."

Basically you give paypal your
bank account numbers and they
put a small amount into your bank
account (like 10 cents or something)
and then you confirm your account
on the paypal site telling them the
amount.

Not positive on this though... but
having a paypal account is a good thing
to have anyways. Get wit da timez. cool.gif

Membership is def worth every penny!

i have had problem with paypal too, i have tried to purchase a lifetime membership cause twenty dollars isnt shat anyone to give but for what ever reason paypal will not let me. it debit my card like three times when trying for like a dollar each time but kept saying it couldnt validate it even though checking online the transaction for the debiting of the dollar went through each time.
i have purchased memberships on deviantART with this same card with no problems at all, i just dont get it and since i was told through email the only way to get a membership is through paypal i soon just gave up and just stay a free user.
the admin really should look into other options im sure a lot more people would donate, like myself if there was any other way than just paypal to do this because really $20 isnt going to be missed by anyone who can afford internet access in the first place
