Relined the dog skeleton, the hat, the skull, the hands and parts of the sleeves. Added some opaque gray and two shades of blue. All of the gray and blue I struggled with, but learned a whole lot by the end. Used a 9mag and a 5rs. 5rs worked beautifully for shading in those tight spots, and especially when relining. Chikken's massage table tip and Mario's artist at his shop's suggestion of how to get a GOOD biker stretch worked out really well for the relining. I'll be taking another stab at the chef's coat with a some reds, oranges, greens, and darker gray, and a lighter blue to finish it off.

Man, I can't stand looking at the pots and trees, and can't wait to get back in there to polish them up.

The clothing is looking really good

im not sure about that grey blue .. i get the idea ur going for but i woulda rather a yellow or arangish grey ... they bluw kinda trips me out .. ,but none the less it looks good and is comming along .. linwork def need sfixin but u know that and looks like a bit of black in the trees fell out so may wanna fix that ...

I think I agree with Nerd about the colours actually. Too much yellow or orange in the clothes could ruin the overall balance, but a little bit just on the lower part near the flames would probably be logical and more correct. I'm sure if you stood that close to flames in those clothes, there would be at least a hint of warm colours reflecting in them.

Oh I've just looked at the original artwork... looks like you've probably got it under control. Obviously. Duh lol

looks like you encountered one of those people with tough/hard to get ink into skin.. is he a red head? ive been working on a guys back now on and off for over a year and solid black comes out grey , red comes out pink.. not only that, but the top of the arm is an awkward mofo to get to especially round the back of it. its coming together nicely , im sure the colours will blow everyone away.

9mag, 5rs. Relined the green smoke, liquid, pots and logs. The green smoke is better for sure, but not great. He kept fucking flinching. Fucker. I'm hoping it will heal smoother, and the background will tie it together, and mask the imperfections. Yellow in the skulls and bones has got some blood in it, so hopefully it will pop later. Same as the brown. Right now the reddish brown is masking the red and orange reflective highlights.

I still need to address the patchy holidays in the black trees and pots. I gotta get back into the coat, hit the back ground, reline the flames, and then touch up, so I'm thinking like three to four more sessions depending on how the purple and blue background fill goes.

It's coming along. A lot still bugs me, and I didn't want to stop, but after four hours, Paul had enough.

I've been told that shading and color work can fix almost all problems in inconsistent lining.
Your making me a believer with this piece.

You should feel good about this one bro...turned out shop quality.

to bad the blue toned down so bad, i liked it bright like the last pic......looks good so far, nice one.

5rs to reline the flames. Tatsoul 15mag and a new HAMMER from Buzzbrush to pack in the black like FUCKING BUTTER. This shader form Buzzbrush is ridiculous. RIDICULOUS. Thanks man. Beautiful machine. You are a fucking genius!

This one is coming along. I turned this one around from a borderline mistake to something I'm very pleased with. This guy had to deal with some personal stuff for a while, but is recommitted to getting this done, and we should hopefully finish this in the next two sessions. It all depends on how the blue and purple background stick. With this new shader from Buzzbrush, I don't see it being a problem.

This is really original...maybe that's why I dig it so much.

The more I look at...the more a harvest moon screams out to me.

The moon...then the trees....then the skully...would really give it that 3D effect.

Don't know why but the sillouette of an owl in the trees with just the eyes glowing comes to mind.

I would just really go with the "creepy" factor on this one.

Thanks guys. Yeah, that black has been bugging the shit out of me. It's a really good feeling to know this one's out in public with my name on it, and I can hold my head up.

JD that looks freakin awesome. You have such a good grip on on your shading and color blending.
