Shading: Does the tattoo show smooth gradients and transition effectively from light to dark?
Color Harmony: Does the tattoo have colors that compliment each other?
Placement/Size: Does the tattoo seem to be the right size for the area chosen? Is it centered and lined up with any other work? Does it go with the flow of the body?
Design: How well does the overall design work? Does it have sound composition? Does it feel well thought out?

A guy came to me asking for a tattoo of his moms name in cursive with a rose, pretty simple right?....not with a hangover!....
i was having some problems though with the shading....my machine was running smoothly and the power supply was tunned right, yet i wasn't getting the right shading i usually get...it seemed more choppy and nonblending....seems like nothing was going right.....any thoughts??

some would say next time be well rested and focus. meaning no hangover. besides that. is that spelled ALMA. if so. the L could be more bigger or longer. as for the shading. maybe it was just the area where the tattoo is. i couldnt say since i have got the privilege to do a black n grey piece yet.

the writing is ok.. i quite like that font... but the rose just feels a bit lacking.
id avoid the hangover tattoos! ask them to wait til the next day.. when ur brains not working right, you'll never be able to put 100% in to it. -------------------- Karma....

not as bad as you think, i think it looks great. nice design . the A does look wierd and the decoration on the bottom doesnt look smoothly lined , but the rose looks great in my opinion. minor things though .
