After mulling it over for the past month plus, I have finally pulled the trigger on upgrading the forum to Invision Power Suite. This will be a much more powerful and robust software application, and will also have added features allowing members to create both personal image galleries (think portfolios) as well as a personal blog to chart your progress as an artist. I am both scared and excited, but I hope this will help to create an even better community experience for all!
This software and conversion si going to cost a pretty penny, and once the board is up I am considering adding a Paypal donation button. If you feel like the improvements are worthwhile, I ask you to donate $5-10 to help ease the burden and show your appreciation for this board. Anyway, look for some dramatic changes and improvements in the coming weeks! -------------------- Stay humble.

Put up the donation link, I'll pay. Also sell that merch. I'd kinda like to see an ink trails hoody.

The new forum is running and we didn't go down in flames (as yet). I have tried to set permissions the same as they were previously. Let me know if you encounter any bugs or issues. Also, the Gallery and BLog features have yet to be installed, but I hope to get to those either over the weekend or next week.
Cheers! -------------------- Stay humble.

If I try to use the drop down menu at the bottom of the page it tells me I dont have permission to read the tattoo forum page. I'm calling my lawyer!!
Also I cant open the images that were posted through the additional options method on the previous format. I tell you if I wasn't drunk..... -------------------- "In this truck is a man whose latent genius, if unleashed, would rock the nation, whose dynamic energy would overpower those around him. Alvin,
Not sure why this is happening. I logged in as a regular "newbie" member and I was able to use the drop down nav menu and see attached images that were posted before the upgrade...maybe log out, clear your internet cache and try again? -------------------- Stay humble.

Yeah, it's definitely different. But this is just the default "skin" it comes with. I want to customize the forum with graphics, header, buttons, etc...I just have to find the right person to tackle it for me.

I do have a question though, what happened to alot of the topics in each section? Also, there seems to be no notification when new replies or topics are entered into each category. I'm sure it's just things that come with the conversion, but it is a bit confusing.

I am not having any problems with images. Perhaps it's an issue in IE? I am using Firefox. As far as the drop down menu, I can jump to any "individual" board however when I try to go to "Tattoo Forums" I get an error message as well. I'll poke around some more and see if I can find a solution.

I'm also running Firefox. Still can't see all of the images. Bugs suck. On a better note, just found the drop down menu. I kind of feel like an idiot now. LOL No problem with going to the individual sections and topics now. Going to take some getting used to like I said before. Good thing I have a couple of days off from school after tomorrow. I'll catch up and figure this thing out then. Can't wait to be able to access the gallery and blog sections.

Yeah, it's strange. The first thing I would try is clearing your internet cache and logging in again. Anyway, I've submitted a support ticket relating to the HTML linked images, but I am not sure if Invision offers support over the weekend. Bear with me, and hopefully we'll get it sorted out on Monday. In the meantime, I'd say everyone should use BB Code if you plan on posting any more images.
Also, please send me a list of Posts/URLs where images are not properly being displayed. That way I can have ammo when I contact support. -------------------- Stay humble.
