ok first ever charcoal drawing, just a pic of a skull i pulled from google
haha again be kind its a work in progress first i used some Canson watercolor paper 90lb and used my lightbox to make a quick outline  then i started with a hard charcoal pencil and made some bold outlines and started to shade  then i forget to take more pics till im to this point  i used the prismacolor charcoal set, so far im very pleased with it as i am with all of their products so go ahead tell me what yinz think |

yeah jaw was big in the ref, thought it looked odd but i wanted to be true to the source

some people have a big jaw...lol its true...look at that guy in the james bond films his name was "JAWS" his shit was huge...lol.

I just got back from the art store my self.Picked up aPrismacolor portrait set,and the Prismacolor sketch kit.
I really want to learn the portrait stuff since I've never tried it before.Did you use the sketch kit on this one pimpenstein? -------------------- RUBEN

i used the 24 piece charcoal set for this, got a really nice sketchbook in the mail today, will be doin something either tonight or tmo with the sketch kit, prob a self portrait

everything here looks good.
i might suggest shading around the teeth more. it's the only place you have actual lines on the drawing. i would use shading to get rid of those and show gradients. for the first time with charcoal though this is great! |
