One of the shop's artists is an awesome painter. His work is all over the shop. He inspired me to purchase some paints and have a go at it again. I just wanted to start off small and simple. Acrilic on canvas board.

lol, and i thought i was a dick w myself cos i didnt paint for 2 yrs.. i like the light and texture. personally flowers look too bright, and there s no dark contrast/ shades in them, considering the surrounding is- but that could be a style or taste, so i m not judging. i think you should keep it up and paint more often . dig the colour and glow on the skull.

the shading on the ridge of the skull looks good and maybe some of that on other areas would really bring it to life?

The flowers definately need more contrast. It was great practice. I'm gonna be painting some canvases to hang in my kitchen with an oriental theme. We'll see how it goes. I'll post them as I get them done.
